Abstract: A computer-based method is provided for selectively providing notifications based on social relevance to a user. The notification is first parsed to determine a sender, a proposed recipient, and at least one topic addressed in the notification. The parsed notification is then evaluated against a social graph of the proposed recipient. A relevance score is assessed based on linkages traversed in the social graph to a predetermined degree of separation from the proposed recipient. The score is increased for linkages that match or relate to the at least one topic. The notification is released to the proposed recipient if the relevance score exceeds a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: A Service Routing Agent and methods are disclosed that classify and route data service requests. One embodiment includes a control circuit and at least one orchestrator, processor, and service handler circuit. The control circuit performs a process to: receive a configuration of at least one service handler circuit, initialize a list of service handler circuits and associated applications, program the at least one processor to listen for data service requests associated with the application, receive a data service request, and determine whether a service handler circuit associated with the application has been activated; when the service handler circuit has been activated, forwards the data service request to the service handler circuit, and when the service handler circuit has not been activated, request that the service handler circuit be activated, and then forwards the data service request to the service handler circuit. The Service Routing Agent reports updated traffic statistics.

Abstract: A system provides for tail-based sampling of span data at the trace level. The system may include a circuitry, such as one or more servers, that execute applications, agents, and a trace manager. The agents generate span data of operations performed by the applications. The trace manager receives the span data from the agents, and groups the operations defined by the span data into traces. The trace manager determines a selected subset of the traces for span data sampling and an unselected subset of the traces excluded from the span data sampling by comparing one or more trace characteristics of the traces with one or more trace criteria. The trace manager discards unselected span data of the unselected subset of the traces and provide selected span data of the selected subset of the traces to a monitoring system via a network.

Abstract: Techniques are described for managing cookies, including separately managing cookie data associated with different browser tabs. Cookie management includes the isolation of whitelisted cookies from server responses into background storage and then back onto server requests, removing those cookies from the response header and thus from the cookie store. This isolation is managed with the concept of tab ownership between parent and child tabs to maintain isolation separately for each owner (e.g., the parent) and its children. Exposure to client pages is handled by placing those cookies into a keyed location in session storage for every tab where that cookie is to be visible. An event is then triggered for that client page to let it know that session storage has been updated.

Abstract: This relates generally to create and manage a cloud infrastructure using a cloud infrastructure tool. An example method includes, at a server associated with a cloud management platform, receiving a configuration file associated with a cloud infrastructure tool describing a desired state of a cloud infrastructure; creating a cloud template based on the configuration file; determining cloud resources for achieving the desired state of the cloud infrastructure based on the cloud template; for each of the cloud resources: determining a type of the cloud resource; identifying a native resource associated with the cloud management platform based on the type of the resource; mapping an identification of the native resource to the cloud resource; and storing the mapping between the cloud resource and the native resource in a non-native format; and displaying a graphical user interface configured to display a topology for the cloud resources and the cloud infrastructure tool.

Abstract: Disclosed is an online platform for facilitating sharing of data between users. The online platform comprising a communication device, a processing device and a storage device. The communication device configured for transmitting a first account indicator associated with a first user account, receiving a first account selection, receiving a second user profile data associated with a second user account, transmitting the second user profile data, and receiving a modified second user profile data. The processing device is configured for creating an account connection between the first user account and the second user account, associating a copy of the second user profile data with the first user account. The storage device is configured for storing the account connection, storing the copy of the second user profile data and storing the modified second user profile data in association with the first user account.

Abstract: Disclosed are various examples for staging client devices. In one example, a computing device identifies a user profile logged in a client device based on receiving a profile identifier from a management component executed on the client device. The computing device determines that user profile is to be unmanaged by a management service based on a list of associated user profiles for the client device. A message is transmitted to the client device. The message causes the management component to refrain from enforcing a plurality of policies of the management service on the client device.

Abstract: A method and a device related to the field of mobile terminals and for reducing power consumption of a terminal device when the terminal device enters a doze mode, where after detecting that screen-off duration of the terminal device is greater than first duration, the terminal device sends a transmission control protocol reset packet to an application server of a to-be-controlled application to enable the application server to disconnect a Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) connection to the terminal device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for obtaining data about a network having at least a first node and a second node. A server transmits to the first node a request for the first node to send a communication to the second node. The server is outside of the network. The server receives, from the first node, an indication of whether the communication to the second node is successful. The server receives, from the first node, a second request for access to a file stored on the server, determines that the second file has been previously accessed at the second node, and instructs the first node to obtain the second file from the second node.

Abstract: A method or enabling compression context setup for Internet-of-Thing, IoT, devices in a communication network is presented. The method is performed in an application server node for IoT devices, and includes sending a get context message to a gateway node, the get context message requesting a compression context setup includes compression details for an IoT device, receiving an indication of the requested compression context setup for the IoT device from the gateway node, and compressing and decompressing messages sent to and from the IoT device based on the received indication. An IoT device, a gateway node, an application node, a computer program and a computer program product thereof are also presented.

Abstract: A system and method for monitoring one or more Mobility Management Entities (MMEs) with a plurality of scalable Virtual Machines (VM)/probes arranged in a cluster format. A ciphered packet is received from a MME at a smart cluster device/probe whereby data is aggregated from the individual clustered VMs/probes for distribution to a monitoring device. The smart cluster device/probe is preferably configured to decipher the ciphered packet received from the MME and extract metadata from the deciphered packet to identify subscriber information for the received packet. The deciphered packet is then distributed to one of the plurality of clustered probes to balance the load amongst the plurality of clustered probes. The balancing of loads is based upon prescribed load balancing criteria such that each packet received for an identified subscriber is sent to a same probe such that load balancing is performed on a per subscriber basis and/or with other state-based criteria.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product are provided for a determining a network situation in a communication network. In use, at least one threshold value of at least one operational parameter of a communication network is obtained, the at least one operational parameter representing at least one operational status of at least one of a computational device or a communication device. Additionally, log data of the communication network is obtained, the log data containing at least one value of the at least one operational parameter reported by at least one network entity of the communication network. The at least one value of the at least one operational parameter of the log data is compared with a corresponding threshold value of the at least one threshold value to form a detection of a network situation.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for analyzing a user session within an online environment includes receiving, by a path analysis computer system, usage data related to a user session within an online environment, wherein the usage data includes a plurality of events occurring within the user session, and generating, by the path analysis computer system, a plurality of user paths for the user session based on the usage data, including generating a separate user path beginning with each of the plurality of events. Each of the user paths is generated by selecting one of the plurality of events as a starting event, and arranging the plurality of events subsequent to the starting event in order of occurrence, such that the user path includes the starting event and each of the subsequent events up to and including a final event.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a computer networking device calculates a first hash value for an identifier of a group of computing devices, as well as a second hash value for the identifier of the group of computing devices, with each hash value being at least in part on the identifier of the group of computing devices and an identifier of the respective interface. The computer networking device may also analyze the first hash value with respect to the second hash value and select the first interface for association with the identifier of the group of computing devices based at in part on the analyzing. The computer networking device may further store an indication that the identifier of the group of computing devices is associated with the first interface.

Abstract: Technologies are presented directed to smart attachment of cloud-based files to communications such as email. A communication service may determine and select automatically between local and cloud versions of synchronized files allowing the recipient of the message to receive a version of the file regardless of whether the sender is offline or online when the attachment was made and in a user-friendly manner to the sender through a single representation.

Abstract: A network capacity planning system for forecasting and scheduling of network capacity for electronic devices is provided. A server monitors usage of a network associated with the electronic devices. The server analyzes a frequency of a transmission of data packets between the electronic devices and the network, and a time duration of a network busy time based on predetermined thresholds. The server uses results of the analysis to drive a dynamic mechanism, which identifies when a bandwidth associated with the network needs to be upgraded to support the growing network bandwidth requirements. The server adjusts a network capacity value of a network routing device associated with the network to support the required bandwidth for an operation of the electronic devices.

Abstract: A total number of messages in a set of messages that are processed by a computing node in a virtual computer cluster during a time interval is determined. The virtual computer cluster is deployed with a cloud computing service and includes the computing node and other computing nodes at an end time of the time interval. It is determined whether the total number of messages in the set of messages processed by the computing node is no less than a maximum per-interval message number threshold. In response to determining that the total number of messages is no less than a maximum per-interval message number threshold, the cloud computing service is caused to start an additional computing node in the virtual computer cluster after the time interval, wherein the additional computing node is used to process one or more subsequent messages to be processed after the time interval.
