  • Patent number: 8560630
Abstract: Data is automatically shared over one or more contact networks which are interrelated by a trust relationship. The data can be shared using a network-based communication service and is stored as a data record in a local data store. The communication service may be implemented as an instant messaging, electronic mail, mobile phone or some other type of communication service. The data record can include data created by a user, a relevance value, a maximum share count and/or other data. The number of times that data may be shared may be configured by the user that generates the data. The relevance of the data may be updated each time the data is shared.

  • Patent number: 8560714
Abstract: A communication server, including a partial parser module, a storage module and a lookup module, is provided. The partial parser module parses some, but not all, strings of a message and generates partial parsed data. The storage module stores pre-parsed data which represents a complete parsing of a message. The lookup module looks for the corresponding pre-parsed data from the storage module, using the partial parsed data. The server sends the message according to at least the corresponding pre-parsed data.

  • Patent number: 8542276
Abstract: An object tracking method for a non-overlapping-sensor network works in a sensor network. The method may comprise a training phase and a detection phase. In the training phase, a plurality of sensor information measured by the sensors in the sensor network is used as training samples. At least an entrance/exit is marked out within the measurement range of each sensor. At least three characteristic functions including sensor spatial relation among the sensors in the sensor network, difference of movement time and similarity in appearance, are estimated by an automatically learning method. The at least three characteristic functions are used as the principles for object tracking and relationship linking in the detection phase.

  • Patent number: 8543641
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method of a client device includes accessing an application through an application template. The application template resides on server device. The method also includes accessing application based on a response to request of a user interface. In addition, the method includes processing the application through a processor such that the application accesses the application template such that the client device permits an access of the application through the application template. The method further includes executing the application through the application template such that an execution of the application through the application template emulates the execution of the application installed on an operating system of the client device. The method also includes executing a function of the application template based on a demand of a user through the response to the request of the user such that the file is accessed when required by the application.

  • Patent number: 8533295
Abstract: A shared storage distributed file system is presented that provides users and applications with transparent access to shared data stored on network attached storage devices by utilizing layering techniques to inherit file management functionality from existing file systems. The present invention stores meta-data for the shared data as real-data in a standard, non-modified, client-server distributed file system, such as NFS. In effect, the standard client-server file system acts as a meta-data server. The name space consisting of inode files stored as real-data on the meta-data server acts as the name space for the shared data. Similarly, file attributes of the inode files are utilized as the file attributes of the shared data. By utilizing an existing client-server system as the meta-data server, development time and complexity are greatly reduced, while speed advances in the underlying client-server system may be incorporated without alteration of the present invention.

  • Patent number: 8527632
Abstract: The secure transfer of data files between secure environments (202, 211) is disclosed. At a source environment (202) a user issues a request via a first local terminal (205J) to transmit one or more selected data files (101) to a specified recipient (211) by identifying the data files and the recipient's email address. The transmission of the data file is approved, possibly by a supervisor (208) and a copy of the selected data file is made to an encrypted storage device. An email is issued to the recipient (211) identifying the location of the selected file and a first password. The selected data file is transferred to the recipient in response to the recipient identifying the location and providing the first password. Preferably, a second one-time password is provided via an alternative mode of communication.
