Abstract: A hedge trimmer includes a first housing with a first handle, a second housing with a second handle, a transmission mechanism combined to the first housing, a trimming blade for being driven by the transmission mechanism to carry out a shearing motion, an electric motor combined to the first housing and for driving the transmission mechanism, and a battery pack combined to the second housing and for supplying power to the electric motor. The first and second housings respectively include first and second rotation connection parts for making them be connected and rotatable around a rotation axis. The second housing has first and second rotation positions when being rotated with respect to the first housing. A plane perpendicular to the rotation axis is obliquely intersected with a plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the trimming blade.

Abstract: A trimmer assembly for removing portions of sidewalls of cans is provided. The trimmer assembly includes a chute configured to receive the removed portions of sidewalls of cans. The chute includes an angled extending wall configured to prevent removed portions of sidewalls of cans from travelling past the chute without entering the chute without interfering with motion of the cans.

Abstract: Disclosed is a punching apparatus, for a coil bound notebook, which divides into many an object to be bound such as a notebook, a book, an album and the like, then punches same while sequentially moving same and enables easy feeding of the object to be bound, for which the punching has been completed, to a subsequent coil binding position. A punching apparatus for a coil bound notebook, according to the present invention, has first and second alignment plates which are provided on a table on which an object to be coil bound is placed, a punch for punching into the object to be bound binding holes into which a coil spring is inserted, and a moving means for the object to be bound for moving the object to be bound to and from the punch.

Abstract: A rolling bearing strip for a power operated rotary knife providing bearing support for rotation of a rotary knife blade with respect to a blade housing. The rolling bearing strip includes: a plurality of rolling bearings disposed in spaced apart relation; and a flexible separator cage for positioning the plurality of spaced apart rolling bearings, the flexible separator cage including interlocking first and second ends, the first end of the separator cage including a wall defining a projecting member and the second end of the separator cage including a wall defining a receiving member, the first end projecting member and the second end receiving member being in opposed facing relationship and the first end projecting member extending into the second end receiving member to secure the first end to the second end and form an annular, continuous rolling bearing ring.

Abstract: A sawing apparatus for sawing workpieces of wood or plastic material has an adjustable frame part and a drive motor. A circular saw blade is operatively connected to the drive motor and drivable in rotation by the drive motor about an axis of rotation of the circular saw blade. The circular saw blade is adjustable from a ready position into a working position. The ready position is selected as a function of a position of the adjustable frame part such that the circular saw blade carries out a minimized angular travel as working travel during sawing. The adjustable frame part is adjustable at least in a vertical direction and/or in a horizontal direction transverse to the axis of rotation of the circular saw blade as a function of a cross-section of a workpiece to be sawed.

Abstract: An infused beverage brewing assembly that includes a solvent flow management system operable to receive and convey a solvent, a solvent temperature management system in fluid communication with the solvent flow management system and operable to modulate the temperature of the solvent, a brewing chamber for housing a solute disposed to receive the solvent to produce an infused beverage resulting from an infusion process, an infusion pressure regulation system with at least one pressure regulation component located downstream of the brewing chamber, operable to selectively and dynamically modify an infusion process pressure greater than a pressure created upstream in the brewing chamber caused by a flow of the solvent through the solute, and operable such that the flow of the solvent through the solute is not singularly contingent on a pressure differential across the at least one pressure regulation component, and an outlet for discharging the infused beverage.

Abstract: A trimmer head for a rotary trimmer, includes an upper housing and a lower housing secured to the upper housing, wherein either the upper housing or the lower housing has a passageway. The trimmer head also includes a cutter assembly maintained in the passageway, wherein the cutter assembly has a knife, and wherein trimmer line inserted into the passageway is cut by the knife. A related method of cutting a trimmer line using the cutter assembly incorporated into a trimmer head is also disclosed.

The first liner plate is provided with a resilient lock sheet, an elongated slot, a stopper portion, a first rivet, a second rivet and a third rivet; the switch lock sheet is provided with a first rivet slot, a skidproof rack, a second rivet slot, a labor-saving slot, a locking contact, and a buckle; and the first handle part is provided with an axle hole, a holding slot, a holding hole and a screw hole. The present invention has advantages of simple structure, easy of use and stable performance.

Abstract: One feature pertains to an illuminating panel. The illuminating panel may include a pane stack having a perimeter and a perimeter light source having a plurality of light sources positioned outside of the pane stack and around the perimeter of the pane stack. The perimeter light source may be adapted to provide light to the pane stack through side surfaces of the pane stack. The illuminating panel also includes a housing that houses the pane stack and the perimeter light source. A control unit, which may be remote controlled, may also communicatively couple to the perimeter light source and provide power and communication signals to the perimeter light source that changes at least one of a color, brightness, blinking pattern, and/or special effects of the perimeter light source.

Abstract: A pill, or like object, splitting apparatus includes a base having a bottom and continuous side walls defining an interior area. The side wall defines primary apertures. A cutting platform is situated in the interior area in a first horizontal plane defined by apertures, the cutting platform defining a bore extending horizontally between the primary apertures. Primary clamp members extends through respective primary apertures into the bore of the cutting platform. The clamp members engage with the pill to position and hold the pill/tablet stable during the cutting process. A plunger assembly having a compression plate and a blade is operatively coupled to the compression plate, the plunger selectively positioned in communication with the interior area via the open top of the base such that the blade severs the pill upon a downward pressure on the compression plate. The cutting portion is interchangeable with different configurations of blade/blades.

Abstract: Replaceable shaving assemblies are disclosed that include a blade unit, an interface element configured to removably connect the blade unit to a handle, on which the blade unit is pivotably mounted, and an elastomeric element disposed between the blade unit and interface element. Shaving systems including such shaving assemblies are also disclosed, as are methods of using such shaving systems.

Abstract: A rotary tool ejection technology utilizing air to eject contents from the dies of a rotary cylinder. The dies include orifices positioned therein. The orifices are assembled with porous material. The orifices are capable of receiving air from an internal chamber and delivering it to the outer surface of a rotary cylinder. Air is supplied to the internal chamber by an internal shaft. The internal shaft contains a channel in fluid communication with outlets extending radially outward from the channel to locations on the outer surface of the shaft. The shaft is optionally assembled with a manifold having a conduit. The conduit is positioned for intermittent alignment with the orifices in the rotary cylinder as the rotary cylinder rotates relative to the manifold.

Abstract: A barbecue grill and components thereof that allow a user to obtain a controlled burst of high intensity heat for a limited period of time, comprising at least one quick sear burner, a quick sear valve assembly adapted for fluid communication with the quick sear burner, and a cooking surface adapted to be positioned above the quick sear burner in or on a firebox of a barbecue grill. The quick sear valve assembly, in turn, comprises a main valve for normal operation of the quick sear burner, and a bypass valve for high intensity heat output of limited duration. The quick sear valve assembly includes a mechanism that is configured to allow the user to selectively actuate the bypass valve.

Abstract: A miter saw including a base, a turntable pivotably coupled to the base about a miter axis, and a miter angle lock assembly. The miter angle lock assembly includes a clamp biased into engagement with the base when in a clamped position, thereby exerting a clamping force on the base for locking the turntable relative to the base. The miter angle lock assembly further includes an override assembly for maintaining the clamp in a released position relative to the base in which the clamping force is released.

Abstract: An adapter is configured to hold a loose tube fiber cable and is mountable into a fusion splicer. The adapter includes a clamp base having a first and second grooves, each groove having a centerline, a width and a depth. The depth of the second groove is greater than the depth of the first groove, such that a shoulder is formed between the first and second grooves. The centerlines of the grooves align. This allows for the loose tube fiber cable or splice-on connector to be properly positioned within the grooves. The first groove is V-shaped. The second groove may be V-shaped, U-shaped or square-shaped. A clamp cover seats on the clamp base. The clamp cover has a compressible pad which, when the clamp cover is placed into a facing relationship with the clamp base, the pad aligns with the first groove.

Abstract: A sous-vide circulator cooker that sounds an audible alarm when the system raises the temperature of the water to a determined temperature. The sous-vide circulator cooker includes temperature sensors, heaters and a pump to circulator temperature controlled fluids. The system also contains a speaker or buzzer that can play alarms or music when the system comes to a predetermined temperature. In at least one embodiment, the sous-vide circulator can also distinguish between self-heating and user-induced temperature changes, and will sound alarms accordingly.

Abstract: A method for processing a brittle plate includes a breaking step in which a pressing member for pressing a surface of the brittle plate and a support member for supporting a back face of the brittle plate are used to bend and deform the brittle plate and break the brittle plate along a score line formed on the surface of the brittle plate. The support member includes a flat portion that is arranged flat against one portion of the brittle plate to support the brittle plate, and a regulating portion that regulates a bending deformation shape of the brittle plate when the pressing member is pressed against a predetermined position of a remaining portion of the brittle plate. The breaking step includes breaking the brittle plate along the score line that is within the remaining portion of the brittle plate.
