  • Patent number: 11974003
Abstract: Disclosed herein are remote controls with automated selection control. A remote control includes a microcontroller with a provisioned infrared remote library, which are programmed with control codes for a content device, a switch, an infrared light emitter, an indicator device, and a delay knob are connected to the microcontroller. The switch is associated with a selection function on the content device and with control codes. The microcontroller and the library, upon selection of a switch position at the switch, control the infrared light emitter to emit repetitive infrared control codes at the content device at a repetition rate responsive to a reaction time for switching the selection function at the content device, the repetitive infrared control codes automatically incrementing or decrementing the selection function at the content device. The delay knob sets the repetition rate. The indicator device indicates emissions from the infrared light emitter.

  • Patent number: 11910042
Abstract: Approaches for dynamically allocating compute capacity for processing a video stream. Video complexity information for two or more digital video streams actively being processed by one or more video encoders is determined at periodic intervals. Video complexity information describes the complexity of digital video carried by the digital video streams across a bounded number of consecutive digital frames which includes digital frames not yet processed by the one or more video encoders. A determination is made as to whether the compute capacity allocated for processing a particular digital video stream should be adjusted in some manner based on the determined video complexity information. The amount of compute capacity allocated for processing the particular digital video stream may be dynamically adjusted in response to maximizing a measure of optimal video quality calculated for the two or more digital video streams using, at least in part, the determined video complexity information.

  • Patent number: 11850425
Abstract: Fitness apparatus output can be synchronized with media content that features an instructor conducting a workout session. An instructor conducts a workout session while using a recording device to generate media data, and while a computing device executes a client application to generate command data for controlling aspects of output provided by a fitness apparatus. The media data and the command data generated by the instructor can be transmitted to user computing devices over a network. Users may consume the media data on-demand, or as a live stream while the instructor is conducting the workout session. Operations specified in the command data are driven by the timestamps in the media data to synchronize the output provided by a user's fitness apparatus with the visible cues and/or audible cues of the instructor in the media content. The intensity level of the fitness apparatus output may also be customized to the user.
