  • Patent number: 10405517
Abstract: A lamp assembly selectively engageable with a frame member of a cattle chute without using tools. The frame member is received into a channel of a mounting assembly of the lamp assembly. A locking mechanism is pivoted to lock the mounting assembly around the frame member. The orientation of the lamp is adjusted by pivoting a support assembly connected to the lamp into a desired position relative to the mounting assembly and engaging locking pins to retain the support assembly in the selected orientation. The lamp includes a plurality of LEDs that are actuated to shine light into the cattle chute. The lamp assembly is removed from the chute frame member by pivoting the locking mechanism back to an unlocked position and then moving the mounting assembly in a direction that causes the frame member to exit the channel.

  • Patent number: 10408426
Abstract: A reflective filter serving as a multi-bandpass filter for a light source configured to emit light in a plurality of color primary wavelengths to improve color purity. The addition of a reflective/recirculation assembly reinforces and recirculates light not passed by the multi-bandpass filter back into a desired spectrum, which is subsequently passed by the multi-bandpass filter, or converts light not passed by the multi-bandpass into electrical energy for use by the system. The reflective filter, solely or along with the recirculation assembly, can be placed adjacent a conventional light source. Alternatively the multi-bandpass filter and the recirculation assembly can be placed in a modified light source, or placed in an optical stack along the path of light emission. Collimating structures that enforce the light into desired incident angle of attack onto the reflective filter can be included to enhance the efficiency of the reflective elements in the assembly.

  • Patent number: 10401638
Abstract: An imaging directional backlight apparatus including a waveguide, a light source array, for providing large area directed illumination from localized light sources. The waveguide may include a stepped structure, in which the steps may further include extraction features optically hidden to guided light, propagating in a first forward direction. Returning light propagating in a second backward direction may be refracted, diffracted, or reflected by the features to provide discrete illumination beams exiting from the top surface of the waveguide. A rear reflector is arranged to receive light transmitted by the features and to provide polarization recirculation. Viewing windows are formed through imaging individual light sources and hence defines the relative positions of system elements and ray paths. Retarder stack arrangements are provided to increase the efficiency of polarization recirculation, reduce the visibility to damage and to reduce color changes with viewing angle.
