  • Patent number: 10551939
Abstract: The present invention relates to an attitude detecting device requiring no optical nor visual sensors but instead using an advanced processing method, which can be used in applications such as data-login, measurements, motion control, cursor pointing on graphic user interfaces, gaming, etc. The device includes inertial measurement units (IMU) such as accelerometers, gyroscopes and may also include magnetometers. The method utilizes the IMU's sensor data and uses a revised method to transfer 3-dimensional rotations into a representation, such as quaternions, Euler angles, yaw, pitch, and roll. The method also provides better performance when the device recovers from interrupts. The method further utilizes the above mentioned representation and turns it into 2-dimensional values in a precise way while intentionally remove the effects caused by rotation in the other unused degree of freedom.

  • Patent number: 10504436
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pixel driving circuit, a pixel driving method and a display device. A voltage related to a threshold voltage of a driving unit is stored in a storage unit during a compensation stage of the pixel driving circuit utilizing a charging control unit so that an operating current of the driving unit is not affected by the threshold voltage during a light emitting holding stage of the pixel driving circuit. Thus, the influence of the threshold voltage of the driving unit on an operating current thereof is eliminated and an issue in which the display luminance of the light emitting element is not uniform due to inconsistency in the threshold voltage is solved, which improves display quality of the display device.

  • Patent number: 10481723
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a touch screen controller that calculates a variance of an island in acquired touch data values. Where the variance exceeds a variance threshold, the island is validated as a representing touch. Where the variance does not exceed the variance threshold, whether the island represents a touch or a hover is determined by calculating a sharpness by applying weights to nodes of the island, where neighboring nodes adjacent to a peak node are weighted less than non-neighboring nodes not adjacent to the peak node. An island strength threshold is determined as a function of a product of the variance and the sharpness. It is determined that the island represents a touch where a highest touch data value of the island is greater than the island strength threshold, and a hover where the highest touch data value of the island is less than the island strength threshold.

  • Patent number: 10473972
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the field of display technology. In particular, a polarization switching device, a display apparatus comprising such a device, and a driving method for such a device are disclosed. Thereby, problems are solved, such as a reduced user experience due to the existing display apparatus incapable of switching the viewing angle range. By disposing the first and second conductive layers in the confined space of such a device, and controlling voltages for the first and second conductive layers, this application can change the size and the direction of the electric field in the confined space. As such, the long axis of the one-dimensional nanometer conductive material located in the confined space can be arranged along the direction of the electric field, so as to form a grating.
