  • Patent number: 10194092
Abstract: There are provided a photographing apparatus and a method capable of photographing a subject a plurality of times sequentially and calculating exposure time periods in consideration of temporal change in light from the subject of the photography. The photographing apparatus includes: a photographing section; a photographic subject light information acquisition section; an exposure time calculation section and an image processing section that adds images sequentially captured through the shots of the photography. Assuming that n is an integer equal to or greater than 2, the exposure time calculation section calculates an exposure time period of an n-th shot on the basis of images captured through an (n?1)th shot or previous shots than the (n?1)th shot of the photography. The photographing section takes each shot of the photography, on the basis of each exposure time period which is calculated by the exposure time calculation section for each shot of the photography.

  • Patent number: 9794458
Abstract: A camera system, a camera body, and a communication method capable of satisfactorily acquiring lens information necessary for image processing or the like for a frame of a video from an interchangeable lens are provided. Three-wire serial communication is performed in which a request signal is transmitted to the interchangeable lens in synchronization with a synchronization signal (VSYNC) of an imaging element in a video recording mode, and a response signal is received from the interchangeable lens. In a communication mode in the video recording mode, the number of transmissions of a first request signal relating to acquisition of lens information such as a focus position, a diaphragm value, and a zoom position is limited. Accordingly, communication other than communication relating to acquisition of lens information can be performed in a period of one frame.

  • Patent number: 9736366
Abstract: A computing device may obtain a first captured image of a scene and a second captured image of the scene. For a plurality of m×n pixel tiles of the first captured image, the computing device may determine respective distance matrixes. The distance matrixes may represent respective fit confidences between the m×n pixel tiles and pluralities of target p×q pixel tiles in the second captured image. The computing device may approximate the distance matrixes with respective bivariate quadratic surfaces. The computing device may upsample the bivariate quadratic surfaces to obtain respective offsets for pixels in the plurality of m×n pixel tiles. The respective offsets, when applied to pixels in the plurality of m×n pixel tiles, may cause parts of the first captured image to estimate locations in the second captured image.

Abstract: A temporal filter in an image processing pipeline may be configured to generate a high dynamic range (HDR) image. Image frames captured to generate an HDR image frame be blended together at a temporal filter. An image frame that is part of a group of image frames capture to generate the HDR image may be received for filtering at the temporal filter module. A reference image frame, which may be a previously filtered image frame or an unfiltered image frame may be obtained.
