  • Patent number: 11116192
Abstract: A live bait zip tie is an apparatus used to bridle-rig a hook to a bait fish. The apparatus is configured to hold the hook in position, so that the hook cannot rotate or swivel. The apparatus includes a prong, a ratchet band, a hook-bracing fixture, a band-receiving head, and a pawl. The prong allows the user to puncture through a bait fish. The ratchet band engages with the pawl to tighten the apparatus against a bait fish. The hook-bracing fixture allows a hook to secure against the body of a bait fish. The band-receiving head allows for connection of the prong and ratchet band. The pawl is a unidirectionally biased protrusion that allows for tightening engagement with the ratchet band. This configuration allows the apparatus to bridle-rig a hook to a bait fish so that the hook does not move during fishing activity.

  • Patent number: 11096380
Abstract: A method for aquaculture including a fastener that allows for a float to be easily detached from and securely reattached to an aquaculture cage. The method provides multiple toolless approaches to submerse an aquaculture cage that is buoyant in water when attached with a fastener to a hollow float defining a volume filled with air. The method includes in a first approach, detaching the hollow float from the aquaculture cage by releasing the fastener without using a tool to allow the cage to sink in the water and in a second approach, with the hollow float attached to the aquaculture cage, at least partially filling the float with fluid to fully submerse both the cage and the hollow float beneath a surface of the water.

  • Patent number: 10952422
Abstract: A jigging device that has a disk base and a pivot arm that has a sail attached. The pivot arm is attached to the pivot support. The pivot arm moves about a pivot assembly, moved by the wind. The sail is attached to the end of the pivot arm. At the other end, is a clip release. Fishing line, fed by a spool, passes through the disk and up to the clip release. The line is held there until sufficient downward force releases it from the clip. The line passes back down through the disk. A lure is attached to the end of the line. The lure is suspended in the water under the ice. The wind moves the pivot arm up and down, which causes the line and, consequently; the lure to move in sync with the pivot arm, thereby jigging the lure.

  • Patent number: 10945426
Abstract: A snare trap has a cable, a spring and a trigger. A traveling loop slidingly engages the cable and creates a snare loop. A locking mechanism locks the snare loop onto the cable. The spring has a first arm and a second arm. The first arm and the second arm are biased towards an open orientation such that the spring in the open position appears sprung. The ends of the first arm and the second arm slidingly engage the cable. The trigger is movable between a set position in which the trigger tip contacts the second arm of the spring and holds the spring in a closed position such that the first arm and the second arm are tensioned towards each other and an unset position in which the trigger tip does not contact the second arm of the spring.

  • Patent number: 10856533
Abstract: A fishing attractor that communicates through a fish's electroreceptor lateral line that is used in water to attract nearby fish by appealing to the fish's six senses. The fishing attractor includes a wire shaft, a copper bead, a propeller having one or more blades and a central portion with a first magnet inside and a second magnet arranged in reverse polarity to the first magnet. Embodiments include a fishing attractor that when moved, the blades of the propeller begin to rotate and the copper bead and propeller move in a linear motion as well causing the first magnet to rotate and move up and down along the wire shaft, producing an electric potential pulse from the electromagnetic field created by the first and second magnets in opposing relation and from exciting electrons in the wire.

  • Patent number: 10820571
Abstract: A self-feeder for sows, which includes a hopper, a feed volume adjusting mechanism, and a discharge mechanism. The hopper includes a C-shaped housing, a front side plate, a bottom plate, and a guide plate. A gap is disposed between the bottom plate and the front side plate and used as a discharge port. The discharge mechanism includes a discharge plate, a push rod, a top cap, and a stop pin. An upper end of the push rod passes through the bottom plate and the guide plate and is welded to the discharge plate. The self-feeder has a simple structure; the feed volume can be adjusted freely, and fodder can be discharged avoiding falling on the eyes and snout of a sow; the manual discharging times is reduced; the sow can eat fresh fodder and the fodder may not get out; therefore, the fodder is not wasted and manpower is saved.
