  • Patent number: 11019266
Abstract: A suspension spring may suspend an optical component for a camera or other device that implements the optical component to focus light being captured by an image sensor. The suspension spring may move along with the optical component that it suspends as a result of manual or automated focus changes that change the position of the optical component along an optical axis. The suspension spring may make contact with surfaces of other components or materials in the cameras or other systems. Those surfaces of the suspension spring that can make contact may be blunted to prevent the generation of loose particles that can interfere with the image sensor.

  • Patent number: 10958823
Abstract: An imaging system has an interchangeable lens and a camera body capable of communicating with the interchangeable lens. A camera control unit of the camera body acquires focus-sensitivity-related information (including sensitivity information at an image height of the center and correction information of the sensitivity that changes depending on the image height) from a lens control unit of the interchangeable lens through communication at a suitable timing. The camera control unit corrects a change of the sensitivity caused by the image height using image height information of a focus detection region selected from a plurality of focus detection regions and the acquired focus sensitivity correction information. The camera control unit calculates a driving amount of the focus lens from the focus detection signal using the corrected focus sensitivity, generates a control signal for instructing the driving amount, and transmits the control signal to a lens control unit.

  • Patent number: 10917571
Abstract: An image processing device is disclosed. The image processing device controls an image capture device to capture at least first image that comprises one or more objects. The image processing device identifies at least a first object in the first image. The image processing device determines a first blur value of identified first object and determines the identified first object as a blur object based on the first blur value. The image processing device adjusts a focal point of the image capture device to focus on the blurred first object. The image processing device controls the image capture device to capture a second image of the first object based on adjusted focal point. The image processing device replaces the first object in first image with the first object in the second image to generate an output image and further controls the display screen to display well-focused output image.

  • Patent number: 10909668
Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed that apply adaptive sub-tiles to captured images for distortion correction in vision-based assistance systems and methods. A captured image is processed to generate corrected tiles, and selected numbers of sub-tiles are used to generate each of the corrected tiles depending upon the pixel densities for regions of the captured image. The corrected sub-tiles are combined to form corrected tiles, and corrected tiles are combined for form a corrected image. The corrected image can be used to output control signals to cause actions to be issued to a user of the system such as a driver of a vehicle. For one embodiment, the corrected tiles are generated one at a time, and corrected sub-tiles for each corrected tile are also generated one at a time based upon individual source data blocks determined by a pre-determined sub-tile configuration. Efficient memory use and data transfers are provided.
