Abstract: A method of providing material based on a user-initiated request utilizing an electronic database includes receiving search keywords to conduct a search and accessing a first database having previously stored contact information for the particular user in an initial table record. The method includes transforming data in the fields of the record for the particular user in the initial table to generate a record in a sanitized table, accessing a second electronic database having previously stored data structures corresponding to businesses, where each data structure maps selected keyword combinations to corresponding icons, and to particular material corresponding to each keyword combination, and displaying icons associated with search results having corresponding selected keywords near associated result items on an electronic display.

Abstract: In a service delivery system, a computing system is provided for maintaining membership in a sharing group associated with a sharable service. The system includes a CRM module generating a user interface for displaying current membership in the sharing group and receiving, via the user interface, instructions to modify the current membership. The CRM module automatically generates and inserts into a transaction table at least one pending modification transaction for the sharing group in accordance with the instructions, and a billing module comprising a billing database storing associations between one or more member services and the sharing group modifies the associations in the billing database in accordance with the at least one pending transaction. A computer-implemented method and computer-readable medium are also provided.

Abstract: A data storage management approach is disclosed that performs backup operations flexibly, based on a dynamic scheme of monitoring block changes occurring in production data. The illustrative system monitors block changes based on certain block-change thresholds and triggers block-level backups of the changed blocks when a threshold is passed. Block changes may be monitored in reference to particular files based on a reverse lookup mechanism. The illustrative system also collects and stores historical information on block changes, which may be used for reporting and predictive analysis.

Abstract: The disclosure describes systems and methods of limiting access to data that is commonly held, such as by a data cooperative. Certain embodiments involve providing a filter system that receives a record with user device identifiers, and uses the received record to create or modify a filter that is associated with a participant system. The filter system creates a filter key based on a device identifier from the record and assigns the filter key to the associated filter. The filter is applied to a data source including one or more stored device identifiers, and a determination is made whether the stored device identifiers are linked to the filter key. In some embodiments, determining a link is based on characteristics of the stored device identifiers, or on user indications (e.g., “opt-out” preferences), or both. The linked device identifiers are provided to the participant system.

Abstract: In accordance with various embodiments of the disclosed subject matter, a method for fast merging inverted chains, and a related apparatus are provided. In some embodiments, the method comprises: pre-setting an inverted index including a plurality of inverted chains and recording a length of each inverted chain; searching the inverted index and obtaining a subset of the plurality of inverted chains that correspond to at least one keyword; sorting the subset of the plurality of inverted chains in an ascending order of the lengths of the subset of multiple inverted chains; and merging the subset of the plurality of inverted chains sequentially as the ascending order starting from one of the subset of the plurality of inverted chains that has the shortest length.

Abstract: Systems and user interfaces enable integration of data items from disparate sources to generate optimized packages of data items. For example, the systems described herein can obtain data items from various sources, score the data items, and present, via an interactive user interface, options for packaging the data items based on the scores. The systems may include artificial intelligence algorithms for selecting optimal combinations of data items for packaging. Further, the interactive user interfaces may enable a user to efficiently add data items to, and remove data items from, the data packages. The system may interactively re-calculate and update scores associated with the package of data items as the user interacts with the data package via the user interface. The systems and user interfaces may thus, according to various embodiments, enable the user to optimize the packages of data items based on multiple factors quickly and efficiently.

Abstract: An unstructured data analytics system, including: an unstructured data analytics algorithm resident on a server and accessible via a browser operable for receiving unstructured data from one or more remote sources, applying one or more analytical tools to the unstructured data, and displaying summary information to one or more users; wherein the summary information is displayed to the one or more users in a presentation layer, an exploration layer, and an annotation layer. The unstructured data analytics algorithm is also operable for receiving outside data from one or more remote sources. The presentation layer displays one or more of the unstructured data a summary of the unstructured data, and the summary information. The exploration layers allows the one or more users to modify the granularity of the summary information, thereby modifying the granularity of the presentation layer. The one or more users can interact with the unstructured data analytics system simultaneously via the annotation layer.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for providing an aggregate key performance indicator (KPI) that spans multiple services and for receiving user adjustment to KPI factors to configure an aggregate KPI (e.g., heath score). The techniques may enable a user to select KPIs and to adjust weights (e.g., importance) associated with the KPIs. The weight of a KPI may affect the influence a value of the KPI has on the calculation of an aggregate KPI value. The techniques may also include the ability to create a correlation search using the selected KPIs and weights so that a notification may be generated when the aggregate KPI value exceeds a threshold.

Abstract: Various aspects of the subject technology relate to systems, methods, and machine-readable media for identification of a salient portion of an image. A system may receive user input identifying a search query for content from a client device. The system may determine a listing of images responsive to the search query from an image collection. The system may obtain one or more image crops for at least one image of the listing of images based on a saliency map of the at least one image. In one or more implementations, each of the one or more image crops indicates a salient region of a corresponding image. The system may provide a set of search results responsive to the search query to the client device. In one or more implementations, the set of search results includes the obtained one or more image crops in a prioritized listing of image crops.

Abstract: An information acquisition system includes: a mobile terminal; and an information search system. The information search system searches for information on a route based on route information input from the mobile terminal and transmits a search result to the mobile terminal, and the mobile terminal includes a navigation unit that navigates the route from a departure point to a destination. The information search system includes: a database in which information on the route is stored in correspondence with the route information; and an information search server that searches for the information on the route from the database based on the route information and acquires reservation information for transportation on the route based on the information on the route from a reservation system of the transportation, and the information search server transmits the reservation information to the mobile terminal together with the information on the route.

Abstract: Methods and systems for storing and managing large numbers of small files. A data processing system includes clients that generate large numbers be stored on a storage device managed by a File System (FS). An Archive Server (AS) receives multiple files from the client, archives the files in larger archives, and sends the archives to the FS for storage. When requested to read a file, the AS retrieves the archive in which the file is stored, extracts the file and sends it to the requesting client. In other words, the AS communicates with the clients in individual file units, and with the storage device in archive units. The AS is typically constructed as an add-on layer on top of a conventional FS, which enables the FS to handle small files efficiently without modification.

Abstract: A database compliance tool includes a user interface, a retrieval engine, a data integrity engine, and an update engine. The user interface receives a request to add a row to a table in a database. The retrieval engine retrieves a name for each column of the table and a datatype of each column of the table. The data integrity engine determines, for each column of the table, at least one value based on the retrieved datatype of the column. The at least one value is of the retrieved datatype and the user interface receives a selection of a value from the at least one value for each column. The update engine communicates an update request including the table and the selected value for each column. A row is added to the table in response to the update request. The row includes the selected value for each column of the table.

Abstract: A system and method can support resettable acknowledgements for synchronizing data between clusters in a distributed data grid. The system can use one or more unique identifiers (IDs) to support message passing between different clusters in the distributed data grid. A first cluster can receive a first replication message from a second cluster, wherein the replication message indicates that the replication message is from a new cluster. Then, the system can reset the first cluster to preserve idempotence in possessing one or more replication messages that are received from the second cluster, following the first replication message.

Abstract: A method for sharing documents between on-demand services is provided. In an embodiment, a user of a first on-demand service may be able to view a list of content that includes content stored at the first on-demand service and content stored at a second on-demand service. The content of the second on-demand service may be associated with information about the content, allowing the content to be shared among multiple users of the first on-demand service. The user wanting to view the content, select or click on an indicator identifying the content, a connection to the second on-demand service is established, and images of the content are sent from the second on-demand service to the first on-demand service.

A first plurality of LSU descriptors may be generated. Each LSU descriptor may describe a current version of one of the set of LSUs at about the time of the generating. A first archive may be read to produce a first archive plurality of LSU descriptors. Each of the first archive plurality of LSU descriptors may describe a version of one of the set of LSUs when the first archive was created. The first archive plurality of LSU descriptors may be compared with the first plurality of LSU descriptors to identify a first LSU from the set of LSUs that has an associated LSU descriptor that does not match a corresponding LSU descriptor from the first archive plurality of LSU descriptors.

Abstract: An event limited field picker for a search user interface is described. In one or more implementations, a service may operate to collect and store data as events each of which includes a portion of the data correlated with a point in time. Clients may use a search user interface perform searches by input of search criteria. Responsive to receiving search criteria, the service may operate to apply a late binding schema to extract events that match the search criteria and provide search results for display via the search user interface. The search user interface exposes an event limited field picker operable to make selections of fields with respect to individual events in a view of the search results. In response to receiving an indication of a fields selected via the picker, visibility of selected fields may be updated to control which field and values are included in different views.
