  • Patent number: 5570202
Abstract: The order of pixel data is converted on a frame-by-frame basis to produce a prescribed combination of pixel data. To construct frames, sequence numbers representing the order of the frames are attached to respective frame data each composed of a plurality of pixel data thus produced. The frames thus constructed are transmitted to the transmission line. On the receiving side, the sequence numbers of the frames received from the transmission line are checked to detect a missing frame. Pixel data of the missing frame is replaced by those of a frame having a sequence number immediately before that of the missing frame. An image is reconstructed by inversely converting the order of the pixel data which include the replaced pixel data.

  • Patent number: 5559610
Abstract: An image processing apparatus is configured such that an image is photoelectrically read, a reference signal, which follows an output signal from a reading circuit, is formed, whether the level of the output signal is greater or smaller than the level of the reference signal is detected, and a capacitor, for performing a charging operation or a discharging operation in accordance with a result of the detection, is charged during a predetermined time period before the start of the output of the output signal from the reading circuit.

  • Patent number: 5526064
Abstract: A cabinet molded in resin has a grill portion molded in resin by using a predetermined metal mold and having a plurality of holes of small diameter defined in the vertical and horizontal directions. This cabinet is composed of a plurality of substantially straight-lined reinforcing ribs formed on the rear surface of the grill portion, wherein the reinforcing ribs are disposed with a predetermined angle with respect to the direction in which a resin supplied from a resin injection nozzle to the metal mold is flowed upon molding and the reinforcing ribs cross one another.

  • Patent number: 5521718
Abstract: A method of decompressing a document image compressed with JPEG ADCT and a subsequent statistical encoding method, includes an iterative processing step, which filters the image to correct for compression/decompression artifacts, and subsequently checks the ADCT coefficients of the filtered image to determine whether the filtered image is a possible one, given the received original ADCT coefficients and Q-Table description. In such an arrangement, the iterative process step can be terminated at a preselected number of iterations based on the measured size of the statistical encoding prior to removing the statistical encoding.

  • Patent number: 5519509
Abstract: The present invention provides a half-tone image processing method utilizing an error diffusion technique which allows for the density adjustment of a half-tone image to be reproduced. When the density of an object pixel is converted into binary-coded data, a binary-coding object value is first calculated by adding a density value of the object pixel to an error sum of binary-coding errors distributed to the object pixel from peripheral pixels around the object pixel. Then, the binary-coding object value is compared with a threshold value TH for judging whether the object pixel is a black pixel or a white pixel. The binary-coding object value is also compared with a reference value GSLVB or GSLVW which can be variably set for the calculation of a binary-coding error HG of the object pixel. The level of the binary-coding error HG can be adjusted by variably setting the reference values GSLVB and GSLVW. Thus, the density adjustment of a half-tone image can be realized.

  • Patent number: 5517325
Abstract: The present invention relates to an image data transfer controller. In the present invention, transfer processing for acquiring a right to control a bus and performing DMA transfer of image data corresponding to a set number of data to be continuously transferred and bus release processing for releasing the acquired right to control a bus during a set bus release period are repeatedly performed until a predetermined number of image data are transferred. The set value of the number of data to be continuously transferred and the set value of the bus release period are changed on the basis of the state of a request to use the bus.
