Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for generating a manufacturing quote are provided. Part data for a part to be manufactured is received by a processor, where the part information includes information defining the part or specifying one or more aspects of the part. A model of the part is generated and at least a toolpath to create the part is generated. A manufacturing quote is generated using the model of the part. Feedback regarding part design may be provided and manufacturing of the part may be initiated.

Abstract: A method may include receiving, from a client device, a reservation time and image data relating to a desired room; receiving, from a network storage device, facility data for a plurality of rooms; identifying, using an image recognition model, the desired room based on the image data and the facility data; determining an availability of the desired room based on the reservation time and the facility data; generating a first reservation option to reserve the desired room and/or a second reservation option to reserve an alternate room; transmitting, to the client device, the first reservation option and/or the second reservation option; receiving, from the client device, a user selection of the first reservation option and/or the second reservation option; and transmitting, to the network storage device, an instruction to reserve the desired room and/or the alternate room.

Such processing may be performed include scanning and obtaining mail information from a mailpiece, and then sending such mail information to the mail service customer (as specified addressee of the mailpiece) by electronic notification via a corresponding electronic address.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for identifying, in real time, a transportation arrangement between a requestor and a provider that could benefit from a re-matching of the requestor with another provider. A system may match a provider with a requestor to complete a request for transportation from the requestor. The system may monitor a progress of the provider to a pickup location as specified in the request. Based on the monitored progress, the system may determine if the provider is making sufficient progress towards the pickup location. In some examples, the system may determine that the matching of the provider with the requestor is eligible for cancellation because the provider is not making sufficient progress towards the pickup location. The system may cancel the matching and then match another provider with the requestor to continue to make progress towards completing the transportation request.

The system transmits a request to dispatch a delivery vehicle to deliver a package to the vehicle, wherein the request comprises the identifying information and the delivery location.

Abstract: One example of the present disclosure can include a system that can receive a first data set over a network from a first computing device, the first data set indicating user preference data and a first request for a shipping cost. The system can also receive a second data set over the network from the second computing device, the second data set indicating a first shipping cost generated by a shipping entity associated with the second computing device in response to the second request. Based on receiving the second data set, the system can determine a second shipping cost based on the user preference data and the first shipping cost. The system can then transmit the second shipping cost over the network to the first computing device, for example as part of a graphical user interface for display on the first computing device.

Abstract: A computerized operation of a vehicle rental system is provided, wherein a number of vehicles is made available to a defined user group for a temporary use period. The vehicles are placed at one or more locations accessible only to the user group, with one or multiple parking spaces reserved for the vehicles in each case. Based on a user input which includes at least one item of data regarding a rental period start and a rental period end of a vehicle, as well as a user ID, a reservation of the vehicle is carried out in a computerized reservation system. A sensor device, which monitors the parking spaces, verifies the presence of the vehicle. The reservation system shows a vehicle, the same being detected by the sensor device as parked in one of the reserved parking spaces prior to the expiration of the rental period end and saved in the reservation system, as available for rental in the reservation system.

Abstract: A method and system for the online vehicle rentals, such as a car share rental, allows for a customer to self-dispatch and self-return a rental vehicle without requiring special equipment in the rental vehicle or the presence of rental personnel at the dispatch or return location. At the beginning of the rental period, the customer is prompted to input to a rental management computer system, via a mobile computer device, information about the mileage and fuel level of the rental vehicle and to report existing damage to the rental vehicle. If the customer wishes to extend the rental time period, the customer is prompted to select a requested extended end time for the rental time period and to send the requested extended end time to the rental management computer system.

Abstract: This disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods for generating a last mile travel route for a delivery robot. In an example embodiment, an individual captures an image of a frontage of a property. The image may include a package drop-off spot where a package can be dropped off by the delivery robot. The individual may also insert labels and/or illustrations into the image for conveying information such as object descriptors (front door, drop-off spot, etc.), traversable areas (driveway, walkway, etc.), and non-traversable areas (lawn, flower bed, etc.). The image is converted by a computer into a travel map that the delivery robot can use to identify a travel route through the frontage area of the property. The travel map may be provided in various forms such as a semantic map of the frontage area or a bird's eye view rendering of the frontage area.

A delivery item has an associated digital resource(s), such as electronic text, a digital file, an image, a web page(s), or the like. The delivery item includes an indicia, such as a bar code, that provides access to, or references, the digital resource. When the delivery item is processed during transit from the sender to the recipient of the delivery item, the indicia is read, and the associated digital resource is identified therefrom. The delivery service transmits, to the recipient, an electronic notification indicating that the delivery item is enroute to the recipient and also indicating the associated digital resource. The recipient can then access the digital resource, e.g., the custom text, files, images or web pages associated with the delivery item.
