  • Patent number: 10428228
Abstract: A composition for pretreating surfaces of equipment for use with an uncured cementitious material, such as uncured concrete, and/or for cleaning cured cementitious material from the surfaces of such equipment includes an aqueous solution with colloidal silica. Pretreatment of a surface with such an aqueous solution may reduce or eliminate adhesion of uncured cementitious material to the surface. Cured cementitious material may be removed from equipment surfaces by wetting the cured cementitous material with the aqueous solution to chemically soften the cured cementitious material, along with abrading the cured cementitious material to mechanically remove the same from the equipment surfaces. Systems for removing cured cementitious material from the surfaces of equipment configured to use with uncured cementitious material include an abrasive element and an aqueous solution with colloidal silica.

  • Patent number: 10283396
Abstract: Techniques herein provide a workpiece holder that can hold relatively flexible and thin workpieces for transport and electrochemical deposition while avoiding electroplating fluid wetting contacts or contact regions of a given workpiece. A workpiece holder frame holds a workpiece by gripping the workpiece on opposing sides of the workpiece. A flexure structure is used for clamping a given workpiece and for providing an electrical path for supplying a current to the workpiece. An elastomer covering provides sealing and insulation of the electrical flexure structure. The workpiece holder also provides tension to the workpiece to help hold the workpiece flat during processing. Each flexure structure can provide an independent electrical path to the workpiece surface.

  • Patent number: 10214399
Abstract: A bottle jack may be manufactured differently or converted (retro-fitted) by replacing a conventional shaft in a main lift piston to be inserted and removed, at will, without tools. The threads in the main lift piston may remain or be removed. A yoke or other head is fitted to provide registration, horizontal restraint, or both against a lifted object, component, or surface to prevent sliding off the head in use. In a smooth-walled-shaft embodiment, a set of risers (spacers, adjusters, trims, or shims) provide an extension height of the shaft, elevating the head with respect to the piston prior to beginning to lift the hydraulic piston.
