A distance from the at least one top to the working surface of the tuft picker is in the range of from 0.05 mm to 0.5 mm, and an angle between the working surface of the tuft picker and a line of reflection symmetry crossing the at least one top is from 1° to 45°.
Abstract: A composition for pretreating surfaces of equipment for use with an uncured cementitious material, such as uncured concrete, and/or for cleaning cured cementitious material from the surfaces of such equipment includes an aqueous solution with colloidal silica. Pretreatment of a surface with such an aqueous solution may reduce or eliminate adhesion of uncured cementitious material to the surface. Cured cementitious material may be removed from equipment surfaces by wetting the cured cementitous material with the aqueous solution to chemically soften the cured cementitious material, along with abrading the cured cementitious material to mechanically remove the same from the equipment surfaces. Systems for removing cured cementitious material from the surfaces of equipment configured to use with uncured cementitious material include an abrasive element and an aqueous solution with colloidal silica.

Abstract: An adjustable wrench provides a drive head that rotates about two axis with respect to a drive gear. The wrench includes a wrench casing having an orbital cavity. A drive head, drive gear, pawl gear and an axis pin bushing are positioned in the orbital cavity. A drive head axis pin connects the drive head to the axis pin bushing such that the drive head can rotate about a first axis with respect to the drive gear. A drive gear axis pin connects the drive gear to the axis pin bushing such that the drive head can rotate about at second axis with respect to the drive gear. The pawl gear and drive gear rotate the drive head about a third axis with respect to the wrench casing.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a clamping apparatus that includes an upper jaw structure having a hinge end and a clamp end, a lower jaw structure having a hinge end and a clamp end, and a hinge located at the hinge ends of the upper and lower jaw structures, the hinge providing for rotation of upper jaw structure with respect to the lower jaw structure. The clamping apparatus includes an elongated element threadably attached to the first and second upper jaw structures between the hinge end and the clamp end of each of the first and second upper jaw structures, wherein rotation of the elongated element in a first direction causes the clamp end of the upper jaw structure to move closer to the clamp end of the lower jaw structure. The elongated element includes an end configured to receive a tool configured to facilitate the rotation of the elongated element.
Abstract: Described herein is a surgical instrument holder for use with a robotic surgical system, for example, during spinal surgery. In certain embodiments, the surgical instrument holder is an interface between the robotic arm and a surgical instrument used during surgery. This interface may hold the surgical instrument precisely, rigidly, and in a stable manner while permitting a surgeon to easily and quickly install or withdraw the instrument in case of emergency.
Abstract: Techniques herein provide a workpiece holder that can hold relatively flexible and thin workpieces for transport and electrochemical deposition while avoiding electroplating fluid wetting contacts or contact regions of a given workpiece. A workpiece holder frame holds a workpiece by gripping the workpiece on opposing sides of the workpiece. A flexure structure is used for clamping a given workpiece and for providing an electrical path for supplying a current to the workpiece. An elastomer covering provides sealing and insulation of the electrical flexure structure. The workpiece holder also provides tension to the workpiece to help hold the workpiece flat during processing. Each flexure structure can provide an independent electrical path to the workpiece surface.
Abstract: A jack stand apparatus has a frame having a first portion and an outwardly extending second portion, a barrel affixed to the outwardly extending portion so as to have a generally vertical longitudinal axis, a jack screw threadedly received by the barrel, and a plurality of caster wheels removably affixed to the frame. The barrel has an outer end extending outwardly for a first distance from the first portion of the frame. The plurality of caster wheels support the frame for a second distance from a level of the bottom of the caster wheels. The first distance is no more than the second distance. A support head is affixed to an end of the jack screw opposite the barrel. The frame is invertible relative to the caster wheels such that in one position the barrel extends upwardly from the frame and a second position in which the barrel extends downwardly from the frame.
Abstract: A portable and foldable lift can be attached to a surface such as a tailgate of a truck. The lift can be slid off the gate and used to lift heavy objects from the ground to the bed of the truck. The portable and foldable lift is returned in a folded position to the tailgate for easy storage. The portable and foldable lift can also be attached to a work bench, either on top or underneath, and can be folded up and stored out of the way.
Abstract: A tool for installing cables in a split sleeve includes first and second guide portions, a third arcuate guide portion extending from and positioned radially outward of the first guide portion, the first and third guide portions forming a first guide slot therebetween, and a fourth arcuate guide portion extending from and positioned radially outward of the second guide portion, the second and fourth guide portions forming a second guide slot therebetween. The tool may be assembled to a split sleeve that is biased toward a rolled up configuration in which one side of the split sleeve at least partially overlies another side of the split sleeve. By positioning one or more cables within the tool while the tool is assembled to the split sleeve, a user may slide the tool along the split sleeve to position the cables within the split sleeve.
Abstract: A hand tool for current sensing includes a body (110) and a current sensing module (200). The body (110) includes two clamping handles (120) pivotally connected by a pivot (130), two pliers jaws (140) disposed at respective one ends of the two clamping handles (120) respectively, and a clamping structure (150) disposed at the two pliers jaws (140). The current sensing module (200) includes an alert unit (220) for sending out an alert signal. Accordingly, an operator can sense whether a cable carries a current by means of the hand tool, thus ensuring safety of the operator during work.
Abstract: A bottle jack may be manufactured differently or converted (retro-fitted) by replacing a conventional shaft in a main lift piston to be inserted and removed, at will, without tools. The threads in the main lift piston may remain or be removed. A yoke or other head is fitted to provide registration, horizontal restraint, or both against a lifted object, component, or surface to prevent sliding off the head in use. In a smooth-walled-shaft embodiment, a set of risers (spacers, adjusters, trims, or shims) provide an extension height of the shaft, elevating the head with respect to the piston prior to beginning to lift the hydraulic piston.
