Abstract: A method for managing a body device includes obtaining, by a mobile personal station, an identifier of a body device; obtaining, by the mobile personal station according to the identifier of the body device, a communication mode supported by the body device; obtaining, by the mobile personal station, a body parameter and a location parameter that are of a user that carries the body device; and setting, by the mobile personal station, the body device according to the body parameter, the location parameter, and the communication mode supported by the body device.

Abstract: Approaches presented herein enable recipient-actualized internal vehicle-to-vehicle honking. More specifically, an action of a first vehicle is monitored and a communication is obtained from a second vehicle. In response to the obtainment of the communication, it is determined whether the action of the first vehicle violates a rule. In the case that the action of the first vehicle violates a rule, responsive to the communication, a honk indication, perceptible to an occupant of the first vehicle, is actualized inside the first vehicle. In the case that the action of the first vehicle does not violate a rule, the communication from the second vehicle is rejected, and the honk indication is not actualized inside the first vehicle. A response can be transmitted to the second vehicle indicating if the honk indication was actualized inside the first vehicle.

Abstract: Systems and methods for delaying transmission of an alarm signal responsive to detecting delay actions indicative of progress towards confirming or denying the alarm signal are provided and can include an alarm processing device receiving the alarm signal and determining whether a user device is enrolled in an alarm notification service. When the user device is enrolled in the alarm notification service, the alarm processing device can transmit a notification to the user device, start a delay timer, and determine whether a first delay action associated with the user device is detected prior to expiration of the delay timer. When the first delay action is detected prior to the expiration of the delay timer, the alarm processing device can alter the delay timer consistent with a next delay action associated with the user device and, when the delay timer expires, transmit the alarm signal to the central monitoring station.

Abstract: A wearable Haptic Human Machine Interface (HHMI) receives electrical activity from muscles and nerves of a user. An electrical signal is determined having characteristics based on the received electrical activity. The electrical signal is generated and applied to an object to cause an action dependent on the received electrical activity. The object can be a biological component of the user, such as a muscle, another user, or a remotely located machine such as a drone. Abstract: Embodiments include methods, systems and computer readable storage medium for a method for detection and notification of a tire leak is disclosed. The method includes receiving, by a tire leak detection system, sensor data from one or more tires. The method further includes determining, by the tire leak detection system, an occurrence of a leak anomaly in at least one of the one or more tires based on the sensor data. The method further includes predicting, by the tire leak detection system, a time and/or distance the at least one of the one or more tires will function ineffectively. The method further includes outputting, by the tire leak detection system, a code to a user or server indicating a leak type associated with the leak anomaly.

Abstract: A system for determining visibility comprises a particle sensor unit mounted onboard a vehicle, and a processor unit in communication with the particle sensor unit. The particle sensor unit comprises a light source configured to transmit a light beam into an external air region; a set of receive optics configured to collect a scattered portion of the light beam from particles in the air region; and an optical detector configured to receive the collected scattered portion and measure a signal intensity. The processor unit is operative to perform a method for determining visibility that comprises analyzing data received from the particle sensor unit to determine particle distribution in a volume of the air region; performing particle differentiation to determine sizes and types of particles in the distribution; calculating visibility data based on the sizes and types of the particles; and outputting the visibility data to one or more onboard systems.

Some systems can include a three-dimensional (3D) microelectromechanical system (MEMS) magnetic sensor, a programmable processor, and executable control software stored on a non-transitory computer readable medium, wherein the 3D MEMS magnetic sensor can measure magnetic parameters of a magnetic field along three axes, and wherein the programmable processor and the executable control software can compare the magnetic parameters to reference values to determine whether the magnetic parameters indicate that a door or a window associated with the 3D MEMS magnetic sensor is open or closed.

The communication component is also configured to broadcast the advertising data packet for the medical device at a defined beaconing rate based on the urgency level for the advertising data packet.

Abstract: All tire systems, including tire systems that include self-inflating devices, need to have the ability to regularly and reliably monitor and report vehicle and tire conditions for safety reasons. For a self-inflating tire, this can be accomplished by monitoring the operation of the self-inflation system, and assessing if it is consistent with a tire in good condition.
