  • Patent number: 9891511
Abstract: An illumination system includes a solid-state light-emitting element and a wavelength-converting device. A first waveband light is emitted to an optical path by the solid-state light-emitting element. The wavelength-converting device is disposed on the optical path and includes a phosphor plate. The phosphor plate is a solid mixture having a phosphor agent and a binder. The weight percent of the phosphor agent is from 10 to 70, such that the first waveband light is transformed into a second waveband light. Under this circumstance, the efficiency of heat conduction of the phosphor plate is effectively enhanced, thereby enhancing the converting efficiency of the wavelength-converting device, which is strong enough to be applied to rotate with great rigidity. Meanwhile, not only the space requirement is reduced, but also the phenomena of hot spot and heat diffusion are avoided, such that the cost and difficulty of manufacturing the wavelength-converting device are significantly reduced.

  • Patent number: 9879836
Abstract: The present invention is directed toward a lighting device in a motor vehicle that includes a first light conductor and at least one second light conductor. The first light conductor propagates light by total internal reflection which impacts on a light coupling-out area of light conductor and is at least partially reflected toward and emits from an opposite light output area. The at least one second light conductor propagates light by total internal reflection which is coupled into the first light conductor by a midway coupling-in. The light that emits out of the second light conductor via a light output area enters into the first light conductor via the light coupling-out area. An air gap is formed between the light coupling-out area of the first light conductor and the light output area of the second light conductor.

  • Patent number: 9874331
Abstract: An automotive headlamp module thatreduces manufacturing cost and increases availability for low-cost vehicles is provided. The automotive headlamp provides a rotational force to a shield via a DC motor and improves safety during operation by implementing a beam pattern in a low-beam mode when performing a fail-safe function due to breakdown in a high-beam mode or an ADB mode. In particular, the automotive headlamp includes a drum type shield rotatably disposed with respect to a shield housing and has a high-beam protrusion, a low-beam protrusion, and an adaptive driving-beam (ADB) protrusion on an exterior side and a shield disc coupled to the shield that rotates. A housing disc guide is movable in a longitudinal direction of the shield by the shield housing and has an end in contact with the shield disc and a return spring and presses a housing disc to the shield disc with accumulated elastic force.

  • Patent number: 9863622
Abstract: An LED underwater light, which can be hand-held or mounted on an underwater camera housing, is switchable between two light modes. A first embodiment of the dive light is a focus light, used for initial focusing with a still underwater camera. Incorporated in the focus light is a red light source to which the focus light can be switched from initially projected white light. The switch is used to switch off a series of white LEDs while switching on a series of red LEDs. In another embodiment, the dive light is a flood/spot light, or with another two types of selectable LED arrays, and enables a diver to quickly switch between two types of light projection. Another feature is a laser beam projecting device within the housing, with a momentary switch on the housing to power the laser, as for pointing out underwater objects of interest, the laser beam being projected to the same area as the spot beam.
