Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing a three-dimensional graphic user interface includes a control module which creates a three-dimensional interface space having a predetermined plane and an axis perpendicular to the plane, and a plurality of objects presented in the space, and a user interface module which presents a plurality of object groups including the plurality of objects in the space, and moves an object group including a selected object among the plurality of presented object groups along the axis.

Abstract: The present invention provides a comprehensive development platform and client-side technology for intelligent and cost-effective delivery of video, audio and broadband content over a network, such as the Internet, to desktop, mobile computing, and network connected devices. In one embodiment of the present invention, an intelligent delivery system (IDS) delivers offline content on a client that provides a user experience similar to corresponding content accessed via a network, such as content experienced by a user visiting a web-site on the Internet. Through a background delivery process, the IDS transparently provides offline content automatically to the client. A user may display online content via a browser the first time visiting a content provider, such as a web-site, and from thereafter, the IDS automatically provides a second application to display offline content downloaded from the content provider.

In one embodiment, a method includes generating a community network of user profiles, each user profile associated with a specific geographic location, associating a first user with a first user profile, providing a first character expression associated with the first user profile, generating a first display view to include a three-dimensional map view embodied by the community network, the first character expression, and the first user profile represented at a location in the three-dimensional map view associated with the specific geographic location of the first user profile, and simultaneously representing other user profiles adjacent to the first user profile in the three-dimensional map view. The method may also include providing elements as a part of a commerce transaction and enabling the commerce transaction via a user profile.

The cursor control mode allowing a user to move a cursor on a graphical user interface (GUI) and the scroll control mode allowing a user to scroll on the GUI. Abstract: Provided are a user interfacing display apparatus having improved operability without confusing the user as to setting displayed on a pop-up screen, and an image forming apparatus. When a copy ratio key as a detail setting key is selected on an LCD as a display section provided in the user interfacing display apparatus mounted on an image forming apparatus, the pop-up screen is displayed. At the same time, a display state of an interruption key is changed, so as to be displayed to inform that the interruption key is unavailable. While the pop-up screen is being displayed, a user is not allowed to select the interruption key. Thus, for example, on contrary to a case where process is switched to an interruption mode while the pop-up screen is being displayed, there will be no confusion as to the detail setting displayed on the pop-up screen before switching to the interruption mode.

Abstract: An integrated collaborative user interface for a document editor is provided. The integrated collaborative user interface includes a document pane, document details pane and a section details pane. Document details and section details are obtained and provided to authors. A collaborative author views the document details, section details and provides updates to a document in the document editor. Changes are then refreshed to the authors to provide a consistent and up-to-date status of the document.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method, a computer program product and a device for providing user information relating to a screen object selected by a user with a pointer tool within a graphical user interface. In order to provide the most comprehensive assistance possible to a user when operating the pointer tool, the following method steps are proposed: detecting the selected screen object, continuously registering the position of the selected screen object within the graphical user interface while the screen object is being moved by the user by means of the pointer tool, displaying a window which follows the position of the selected screen object and contains text-based information which is dependent on the position of the selected screen object.

Abstract: An embodiment provides a method to change a graphical user interface in a way that supports runtime modification of an application's GUI without access to the application source code and/or needs no recompilation/restart of the application executable. This method allows the end-user to make runtime modifications of a widget's attributes and/or runtime conversion of widgets into different types of widgets.

Abstract: A system and method for identifying objects possessing minute but significant details is described. At its core, the system includes a user interface, means for comparatively identifying the object and means for displaying results. Notably, because the system does not rely upon highly specialized or complex equipment, the invention is expected to have particular applicability in a wide variety of every-day situations. Moreover, the system is explicitly designed for user friendliness, so as to eliminate that need for extensive training for any prospective user of the system. Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for controlling presentations and videoconference using hand motions. A camera captures video of an area relative to content displayed on a display device from a content source. A control unit is communicatively coupled to the content source, the display device, and the camera. The control unit receives captured video from the camera. The control unit detects a hand motion by a presenter that occurs within the captured video and determines the location within the captured video of at least one control for controlling the presentation or videoconference. The control unit determines if the detected hand motion occurs within the determined location of the at least one control, and the control unit controls the content source based on the determined control.

Abstract: A system and method for viewing timing of one or more loops in a graphical program. A graphical program having one or more loops may be created. In one embodiment the one or more loops may include one or more timed loops, i.e., the loops may be configured to execute according to particular execution periods. The graphical program may be executed, and timing analysis data regarding timing of the one or more loops during execution of the graphical program may be stored. A graphical user interface (GUI) for viewing timing of the one or more loops during execution of the graphical program may be displayed. In various embodiments the GUI may display any of various kinds of information regarding timing of the one or more loops, and any kind of visual presentation may be used in displaying the information.

Abstract: Embodiments provide a system and method for generating images of a document with interaction of a primary user with the document in an interaction session. Briefly described, one embodiment comprises an image capture means adapted to capture an initial image of the document without interaction by a user and to subsequently capture at least one additional image of the document during an interaction session including interaction from the user during that session, and a processing means adapted to generate a data set representing the interaction session from the initial image and the additional image, the data set containing at least the initial image along with information indicative of the interaction of the user during the session obtained from the additional image.

Abstract: A method for displaying a plurality of windows on a display screen is described. The method includes steps of displaying a first application window and a second application window on a display screen, declaring the first application window and the second application window as a group, the second application window being independent of and external to the first application window, grouping the first application window and the second window into a group, and displaying the group as a representation on the display screen. As new application windows are opened, they may be added to the group and/or they may become members of a second group of application windows. A user may switch between various groups.

Abstract: A personalized web page displays a subset of multiplayer games available on a game web site, corresponding to game software programs that are installed on a user's computer. When the user connects to the web site, an extended markup language (XML) data file, a web page that is not yet personalized, and a control file are downloaded. An executable instance of an ActiveX™ control program instantiated by JScript included in the web page queries the operating system registry to produce an XML text string listing each software program of a specific type that are installed. The results are then compared to the XML data downloaded from the web site, returning the subset of the games that are available on the web site and also installed on the computer. The web page is then transformed to display the subset, producing the personalized web page.
