  • Patent number: 6604254
Abstract: A pool cleaning device includes a housing assembly that has a base portion. The foot portion is for resting on a deck of a pool. A handle member slidably extends through the base portion of the housing assembly. The handle is to be gripped by hands of a user. The handle member is linearly oscillatable along an axis of the handle member. A head assembly is coupled to the handle member. The head assembly is positioned below the housing assembly such that the head assembly engages the walls of the pool. The head assembly is for facilitating cleaning of the walls of the pool when the handle member is oscillated along the axis of the handle member.

  • Patent number: 6594846
Abstract: The cones used to position poultry carcasses on poultry processing lines must be cleaned frequently. In order to clean the cones, a cone cleaning device is provided. A stainless steel frame holds four rotating cylindrical brushes in position so that the cones can be passed between the brushes. Nozzles spray water on the cones as they pass between the rotating brushes. The brushes are rotated with motors mounted on the frame.

  • Patent number: 6588045
Abstract: A sponge mop is fitted with a wringing device. The wringing device includes a sleeve that slidably surrounds the handle of the mop. A roller is attached to the sleeve and is spaced from the sleeve. A drive member is pivotally attached at one end to the mop head and at the other end to a small slide block that slides on a handle-mounted rail. The slide block bears against a portion of the sleeve housing with adequate pressure so that downward movement of the sleeve moves the slide block and thus the drive member, thus effecting the rotation of the mop head by, ultimately, 90 degrees such that the sponge is positioned with its cleaning face parallel to the axis of the handle. Further downward travel of the sleeve allows the roller on the device to expel water held by the sponge. A scrubber/scraper is attached to the mop head at the end which is remote from the handle when the mop head is generally aligned with the handle.

  • Patent number: 6584636
Abstract: A footwear cleaning apparatus includes a vertically oriented frame with an upper frame for supporting the user that is standing while cleaning the footwear. The apparatus receives water from a garden hose and provides a control valve for regulating the water flow while the user is standing upright. The water is directed upwardly through a foot platform on the lower frame, and also through a lower brush onto the footwear sole, the resulting splash causing water to wet two side brushes that are oriented to bear upon the sides of the footwear. A scraper assembly is also on the lower frame and provides a horizontal scraping edge and two vertical scraping edges for the sole and sides of the footwear, respectively. After the water is turned off a drain outlet allows the device to be drained.

  • Patent number: 6546584
Abstract: A paint pad holder has a pad holder plate with a housing for mounting a handle on the plate. The housing has a guide recess for receiving a head of the handle, and for pivotally mounting the handle for movement about an axis generally parallel to the plane of the pad holder plate. The handle can be pivoted a selected number of degrees relative to the plate, and includes a lock sleeve that can be used for locking the handle in selected angular positions relative to the plate.

  • Patent number: 6536065
Abstract: This invention provides an ultrasonically driven nail cleaner, where the ultrasonic frequency both loosens hand and nail soil, as well as providing motion to at least a pair of brushes for removing the soil from the user's hands and nails. The moving force for the brushes and the ultrasonic loosening action are enabled by linkages providing straight line bilateral motion for both of the brushes. A rechargeable battery and a battery charger are provided for multiple uses for the structure provided, without the necessity of an AC outlet proximate the user.

  • Patent number: 6523220
Abstract: A mopping system for facilitating mopping of a desired surface to be cleaned. The mopping system comprising a base framework supporting a fluid dispensing container and a fluid collection container. The mopping system further including a wringing mechanism supported by the base framework, and the wringing system is coupled to the fluid dispensing container for receiving a cleaning fluid therefrom and facilitate cleaning of a mopping assembly when located within the wringing mechanism. The wringing mechanism is coupled to a collection container for conveying collected fluid from the wringing mechanism to the collection container. A filter is located, between the wringing mechanism and the collection container, to filter the fluid wrung from the mopping assembly prior to discharge the wrung fluid in the collection container. The positions of the collection container and the dispensing container can be reversed, once the collection container is substantially full of collected fluid.
