  • Patent number: 9340901
Abstract: Polysilicon rods from the Siemens process are crushed into fragments and further processed to fragments having very low metal contamination in an economical manner by purposefully fabricating parts contacting the polysilicon from materials which cause high metal contamination, and removing the metal contamination by a cleaning bath or baths tailored to the particular metal contamination. By this process, economical materials previously scrupulously avoided, such as low alloy steel, can be used for crushers, conveyors, and other polysilicon-contacting parts of the crushing and classifying system.

  • Patent number: 9327328
Abstract: An apparatus used to repair damage from metal body panels of a transportation container. The apparatus includes a platform having wheels that can optionally be locked. The apparatus further includes a pivoting arm that can be selectively raised, lowered, extended or retracted to repair virtually any area of a transportation container. At the end of the pivoting arm is a cross-arm member comprised of a piston repair arm that can be fitted with a plurality of attachments depending on the contours of the surface being repaired. The area to be repaired can include perimeter walls, ceilings, doorframes, and/or corner posts. The pivoting arm and piston repair arm are driven using a pneumo-hydraulic system that is lighter than any other system currently used on transportation repair devices. The substantial reduction in weight allows the apparatus to readily enter transportation containers and be easily handled by a single operator.

  • Patent number: 9327329
Abstract: The present invention describes a rolling tool device for compression rolling of, in particular, blade elements of a rotor area of a jet engine provided with a tool carrier. The tool carrier is connectable to a carrier spindle. Furthermore, two pliers-type bodies are rotatably connected to the tool carrier. The pliers-type bodies are each provided with a rolling area, with a distance between the rolling areas being variable in dependence of the rotary movement of the pliers-type bodies. In accordance with the present invention, an axis of the carrier spindle in the state connected to the tool carrier passes between the rolling areas through a contact point present at a distance between the rolling areas equal to zero.

  • Patent number: 9314828
Abstract: In a rolling mill, an open-loop and/or closed-loop control device and a method for adjusting a discharge thickness of rolling stock which passes through a multi-stand mill train, wherein a first section of the rolling stock is rolled to a first discharge thickness, a second section of the rolling stock is rolled to a second discharge thickness which is different from the first discharge thickness. Because a transition from the first discharge thickness to the second discharge thickness takes place at a feed rate of the rolling stock into the mill train which is adjusted as a function of a discharge rate of the rolling stock of a unit which is arranged upstream of the mill train in the direction of mass flow, a method can be made available which runs essentially without reactions for units which are arranged upstream of the mill train in the direction of mass flow.

  • Patent number: 9296093
Abstract: A roller clutch mechanism of a reversible ratchet tool is configured to include a biasing and reversing mechanism for biasing rollers in the roller clutch mechanism. A cage member of the roller clutch mechanism locates rollers in either a clockwise or counterclockwise position based on a selective position of the reverser mechanism. The reverser mechanism applies a constant bias to the cage member so that the rollers are constantly biased and quickly engage between the ratchet body and the drive head. The constant bias applied to the cage member reduces the ratcheting angle for improved performance of the reversible ratchet tool.
