  • Patent number: 8904840
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a coating rod, comprising the steps of preparing a rod material, disposing a pair of form rolling dies having a plurality of helical convex threads, so that the closure angle of a main axis of each of the form rolling dies in the horizontal direction of the main axis is substantially 0.25° or larger but not larger than 0.35° with respect to an axial direction of the rod material, and form-rolling the rod material by feeding the rod material along the axial direction thereof and rotating the pair of form rolling dies around the main axes thereof, while clamping the rod material with the pair of form rolling dies.

  • Patent number: 8707750
Abstract: The invention relates to such a method and apparatus, as well as to the resulting deformed object out of a relatively hard material such as e.g. a metal or plastic wire in which an undeformed section (2) is clamped near its ends (3, 4) and is subsequently upset in a controlled way by an axial pressure force (22) to a predefined shortened and thickened longitudinal section (5), with which simultaneously over substantially the entire contour sheath (19) of this section (2) a counterforce (29) is exerted so that, with the progressive deformation during upsetting, the total volume of the longitudinal section that is deforming, remains substantially constant. In this thickened section (5) a flattened zone (8) can subsequently be applied in order to realise a final shape (10) such as an opening (26). The invention concerns in particular also the use of a deformation line (40) for manufacturing a heddle for weaving looms.

  • Patent number: 8702128
Abstract: A bound system including a plurality of pages and a cover and/or divider including a bound outer edge and a plurality of free outer edges. The cover and/or divider may be bound to the plurality of pages along the bound edge. The cover and/or divider may include one or more discreet tabs extending generally outwardly relative to one of the edges. Each tab may be integrally formed from a single piece of material with the rest of the cover and/or divider. Each tab further may have an opening formed therethrough and is configured to receive at least part of a binding device therethrough to thereby couple the cover and/or divider to the binding device.

  • Patent number: 7089980
Abstract: A multi-tool rotatable workbench of the present invention which includes a support structure and a work surface drum having work surfaces, the drum being rotatably disposed on the support structure. Each of the work surfaces includes tool attachment means for rapidly attaching and removing tools, work platforms, workpiece holding devices, and the like. Drum indexing and stop means are provided for selectively positioning and securing the work surface drum in such a configuration that at least one work surface is substantially level relative to the ground, while all other work surfaces are in a storage position.

  • Patent number: 7055561
Abstract: A planer having a base, a first support member attached to the base and supporting a cutterhead for selective travel in a first direction toward the base and a second opposite direction, a top frame attached to the first support member and a depth stop mechanism attached to the top frame for selectively preventing travel of the cutterhead in the first direction beyond a pre-selected distance from the base. A depth measuring device including a retractable tape may be attached to the cutterhead. A workpiece level indicator plate movable between an engaged position and a disengaged position may be attached to the planer to indicate contact with a workpiece. A locking mechanism for locking a pivotable infeed table of a planer in the upright position for storage, and thereby switching off power to the planer is also disclosed. The planer may include a readily attachable and detachable dust removal assembly.

  • Patent number: 7055424
Abstract: The press for forming bales of textile material comprises a first pre-pressing station (3) and a second pressing station (5), with transfer means for transferring the pre-pressed material from the first station to the second station. The transfer means comprise two containment walls, an upper and a lower (33, 35), approximately parallel with each other and defining a transfer path between said first and said second stations, and a ram (25) that pushes the pre-pressed material from the first station to the second station by sliding it between said two containment walls.

  • Patent number: 6799615
Abstract: A stand is made up of two channel shaped sides. There is a removable top that has holes drilled in it so a router with router bits of different diameters and shapes, such as round-nosed and straight router bits or heads, can be attached. There is a removable wood guide having a front with two wood guide sides attached to it. The electric router is the power source for the cutter. The round nose bit cuts the wood ends to form tenons of different diameters and shapes, such as radius, chamfered (tapered) or square-shouldered tenons. The top will be a flat surface with holes that will support a router and attach to the sides. The two channel shaped sides will include holes for attaching a top, securing it to a work bench, and attaching wood guides. The fronts will have different diameter holes, and will attach to wood guide sides. The wood guide sides will have a slot where a bolt can pass through to attach wood guides to channel sides.

  • Patent number: 6782929
Abstract: A process for increasing the strength of plywood. The process includes pressing the piece of plywood between two hard faces which have parallel ridges contacting the two outer sides of the plywood to be strengthened. The plywood is subjected to pressure which permanently impresses a series of parallel grooves in the two outer faces of the piece of plywood. This strengthens the piece of plywood so that it takes more force to break it than the same piece of plywood without such parallel grooves.

  • Patent number: 6651550
Abstract: A strapping machine for positioning a strapping material around an associated load and sealing the strapping material to itself around the load, includes a modular strapping head and a modular feed assembly. The strapping head and feed assembly are readily installed on and removed from the strapping machine without tools. The Strapping machine includes a frame, a chute mounted to the frame and defining a strap path, the feed assembly mounted to the frame by a first aligning and mounting assembly, the strapping head assembly mounted to the frame by a second aligning and mounting assembly independent of the first mounting assembly, and a guide mounted to the frame adjacent the feed assembly. Both the feed assembly and the strapping head are independently removable from the frame.
