  • Patent number: 12380707
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a long-exposure distance image generator, a short-exposure distance image generator, a resolution reducer, a detector, an estimator, and an image processor. The estimator estimates a moving distance of a specific object from a moving amount of the specific object in a pixel region in which saturation has occurred within a long-exposure distance image whose resolution has been reduced. When a difference between the estimated moving distance of the specific object and an actual moving distance of a first vehicle is within a predetermined threshold range, with regard to the pixel region in which the saturation has occurred in the long-exposure distance image, the image processor generates a distance image using distance data of the pixel region in which the saturation has occurred.

  • Patent number: 12356111
Abstract: The various embodiments described herein provide systems, devices and/or processes to improve the deinterlacing of interlaced video content. Specifically, the various embodiments described herein facilitate the deinterlacing of video content by using both intraframe and interframe pixel prediction values to generate replacement pixel values to be used in the resulting progressive scan video. Specifically, the embodiments described herein generate both intraframe pixel prediction values and intraframe pixel prediction values for each pixel in the interlaced video that is to be replaced. The intraframe pixel prediction values and intraframe pixel prediction values are then blended together to generate the replacement pixel values that are used in the progressive scan video. In one embodiment, the blending of intraframe pixel prediction values and intraframe pixel prediction values is based at least in part by estimations of motion in the video about the pixel being replaced.

  • Patent number: 12348895
Abstract: In response to a video aspect ratio of a frame of video not matching an aspect ratio of a display panel of a display device, a source device of a processing system transmits only the frame to the display device and metadata indicating that the display device is to generate bars for letterboxing or pillarboxing. By generating the bars for letterboxing or pillarboxing at the display device instead of transmitting the bars from the source device to the display device or storing the bars at a frame buffer of the display device, the processing system conserves power and bandwidth.

  • Patent number: 12335657
Abstract: A method for processing a video with a dynamic video-based super-resolution network and a circuit system are provided. In the method, quality scores used to assess a quality of an input video are calculated based on image features of the input video. A moving average algorithm is performed on the quality scores of multiple frames of the input video for obtaining a moving average score. Two corresponding weight tables are selected according to the moving average score. The two weight tables are used to calculate a blending weight that is applied to a neural network super-resolution algorithm. The blending weight is applied to the neural network super-resolution algorithm, so as to produce an output video.

  • Patent number: 12284461
Abstract: A synchronized data set is generated from multiple asynchronous data sets. An interpolated data set is generated for each asynchronous data set, at a higher data rate than recorded data rates for the asynchronous data sets. The interpolated data for each data set is then sampled at a lower data rate which is common to all the interpolated data sets. The sampled data points are synchronized between the different data sets, such that the sampled data points represent a synchronized data set. Input telematic data can be reduced to inflection points in the telematic data, and interpolation and sampling of asynchronous data sets can be limited to threshold time periods around the inflection points.
