  • Patent number: 11737019
Abstract: Procedures, mechanisms, methods, and techniques are provided that trigger power saving mode (PSM) functionality in the at least one wireless transmit receive units, group of WTRUs or subset of the group of WTRUs. The trigger may be in response to an application layer request to set one or more predetermined PSM settings, wherein the trigger originates from one or more application servers (APs) directed to a core network by way of an interface such as an SCEF that may be included on a device (e.g., a gateway, computing device, and/or the like) and may be configured for enabling the application server to request enabling and disabling PSM functionality.

  • Patent number: 11606136
Abstract: This application provides an example satellite, an example terminal device, an example satellite communication system, and an example satellite communication method. One example satellite communication method includes obtaining, by a first satellite, at a media access control (MAC) layer, data and/or signaling, where the first satellite is a low orbit satellite. When MAC-layer first processing needs to be performed on the data and/or the signaling, performing, by the first satellite, the MAC-layer first processing on the data and/or the signaling. The MAC-layer first processing includes at least one of hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) function processing or random access (RA) function processing.

  • Patent number: 11337120
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described for a beam-aware handover procedure for multi-beam access systems. A source base station may determine that a handover request is to be sent to a target base station in preparation for handover of a user equipment (UE) from the source base station to the target base station, and transmit the handover request to the target base station with an indication of whether the handover is to be delayed. Alternatively or in addition to, either the target base station or the source base station may generate and transmit a time expiration indicator. The indication of whether the handover is to be delayed or the time expiration indicator may allow either the target base station or the UE to determine whether access parameters for the UE are valid.

  • Patent number: 11283723
Abstract: Technologies for managing a single-producer and single-consumer ring include a producer of a compute node that is configured to allocate data buffers, produce work, and indicate that work has been produced. The compute node is configured to insert reference information for each of the allocated data buffers into respective elements of the ring and store the produced work into the data buffers. The compute node includes a consumer configured to request the produced work from the ring. The compute node is further configured to dequeue the reference information from each of the elements of the ring that correspond to the portion of data buffers in which the produced work has been stored, and set each of the elements of the ring for which the reference information has been dequeued to an empty (i.e., NULL) value. Other embodiments are described herein.

  • Patent number: 11240843
Abstract: The disclosed subject matter is directed towards a clear channel assessment procedure based on a common preamble, such as for use with 3GPP and IEEE 802.11 technologies, or any other radio technology, including for use in the 6 GHz band. Detection of the common preamble is based on detecting known sequences in signal part, which can be detected without decoding the preamble's payload (channel) part to determine an ongoing transmission's duration. If an ongoing transmission is detected, subsequent energy detection monitoring is performed to determine when transmission ends, which can use a different energy detection threshold from what is used in the initial clear channel assessment's energy detection. The technology facilitates the usage of different sampling rates by different radio technologies that work concurrently in the same unlicensed band, by correlating a received preamble with a stored preamble that accounts for deterministic distortions arising from the different sampling rates.

  • Patent number: 10212652
Abstract: A storage unit stores therein a DPC table that is used to limit the intensity of output radio waves of an information processing apparatus. When a wireless module is connected, a determination unit acquires specific identification information which is held by the wireless module and which is related to an specific information processing apparatus which is connected the last time and determines whether there is a match to identification information on the own apparatus. When the determination unit determines that there is no match, a writing unit allows the wireless module to perform wireless communication by using the DPC table stored in the storage unit.
