Abstract: Difficultly inflammable polymeric resins are obtained by curing resin mixtures comprising(a) a resin component comprising at least one thermically curable 1-oxa-3-aza tetraline groups containing compound; and(b) an organic metal or semimetal compound, or a carbon monoxide complex compound, of an element of the 6th, 7th or 8th auxiliary group of the periodic system or of copper, antimony or bismuth.
Abstract: Aqueous size compositions for glass fibers including melamine formaldehyde resins, phenoxy resins and epoxy coupling agents which are particularly suitable glass fiber reinforcements for thermoplastics. In particular, chopped glass fibers coated with the size are useful in reinforcing acetal composites.
