  • Patent number: 11826870
Abstract: Provided is a double-side polishing apparatus and a double-side polishing method for a work which make it possible to terminate double-side polishing with timing allowing a work having been polished to have a target shape. A computing unit performs a step of grouping the data of thicknesses on a work basis; a step of extracting shape components of each work; a step of identifying a position of each of the shape components in the work radial direction; a step of computing a shape distribution of the work; a step of obtaining a shape index of the work; and a step of determining timing at which the obtained shape index becomes a set value of the shape index, determined based on a difference between a target value and an actual value of the shape index in the previous batch, as timing of termination of the double-side polishing.

  • Patent number: 11685020
Abstract: In an automatic wet sanding apparatus including a paper peeling unit that has a clamping shaft and a clamping hook, an inclination angle of a leading end surface of the clamping hook is equal to an inclination angle of an outer circumferential surface of a cushion pad at the start of a paper peeling step. Thus, the leading end surface of the clamping hook comes into contact with an outer circumferential end of a disc at the same time as coming into contact with the outer circumferential surface of the cushion pad, so that the cushion pad is less likely to get caught due to deformation of the outer circumferential surface and its peripheral part of the cushion pad. It is therefore possible to appropriately remove the sandpaper from the cushion pad and stably perform the task of removing the sandpaper.
