  • Patent number: 12237862
Abstract: Examples described herein include systems and methods which include wireless devices and systems with examples of mixing input data delayed versions of at least a portion of the respective processing results with coefficient data specific to a processing mode selection. For example, a computing system with processing units may mix the input data delayed versions of respective outputs of various layers of multiplication/accumulation processing units (MAC units) for a transmission in a radio frequency (RF) wireless domain with the coefficient data to generate output data that is representative of the transmission being processed according to a wireless processing mode selection. In another example, such mixing input data with delayed versions of processing results may be to receive and process noisy wireless input data. Examples of systems and methods described herein may facilitate the processing of data for 5G wireless communications in a power-efficient and time-efficient manner.

  • Patent number: 12224894
Abstract: A compact demodulation reference is disclosed for compatibility with reduced-capability user devices, and for enhanced throughput for high-performance user devices of 5G and 6G in high-density environments. The demodulation reference, in some embodiments, occupies only one resource element, yet provides sufficient information to enable a receiver to calculate all of the amplitude or phase modulation levels of the modulation scheme. For example, if the modulation scheme is 16QAM, the demodulation reference can include an I branch with the highest amplitude level of the modulation scheme and an orthogonal Q branch with the lowest amplitude level. Further examples apply to a multiplexed amplitude-phase modulation scheme. In each case, the receiver can calculate the remaining amplitude (or phase) modulation levels, and thereby demodulate a proximate message.

  • Patent number: 12219055
Abstract: Method, device, and system for deriving keys are provided in the field of mobile communications technologies. The method for deriving keys may be used, for example, in a handover process of a User Equipment (UE) from an Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (EUTRAN) to a Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (UTRAN). If a failure occurred in a first handover, the method ensures that the key derived by a source Mobility Management Entity (MME) for a second handover process of the UE is different from the key derived for the first handover process of the UE. This is done by changing input parameters used in the key derivation, so as to prevent the situation in the prior art that once the key used on one Radio Network Controller (RNC) is obtained, the keys on other RNCs can be derived accordingly, thereby enhancing the network security.

  • Patent number: 12212716
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments may include a method for authenticating calls for a call center where the user can authenticate before or after starting a call to a call center using an application on a user device. The system determines what level of authentication is necessary depending on the task the user wants to accomplish during the call. The system may direct the user to provide credentials, such as a username and password, for some tasks. Other tasks may require the user to verify their financial card by taking a photo of their financial card or tapping their financial card to their device and allow the device to interact with the financial card using NFC technology. Once appropriately authenticated, the system then allows the user to make a call to the call center and also sends a signal to the call center that the user has been previously authenticated.

  • Patent number: 12212470
Abstract: Systems and methods for using a user simulation model to facilitate detection of usage anomalies is disclosed. Usage data is received for a session between a user device and an application or service. The usage data is monitored to detect a usage anomaly, such as unusual or suspicious transactions, unexpected user or device attributes, or abnormal usage patterns. In response to detecting a request to terminate the session, the session is instead handed off to a user simulation model that simulates interactions of a user in the session. The user simulation model can be a machine learning model that is trained, using a training dataset, to simulate user interactions. When the user logs into the application or service, the session can be handed off from the user simulation model to the user, such that the session is perpetual or substantially perpetual.
