  • Patent number: 9526494
Abstract: A bone anchor delivery system device has a retractable punch driver assembly and a bone anchor assembly for attachment onto the punch driver assembly. The punch driver assembly has a retractable punch shaft and a guide for receiving the retractable punch shaft. The punch shaft is linearly movable relative to the guide and the punch shaft having an extended length with bone penetrating tip at a first end. The bone anchor assembly has a bone anchor having a hollow body, a punch, an intermediate lock. The intermediate lock is stowed at a distal end portion inside the hollow body of the bone anchor near a proximal end of the punch and when moved toward a proximal end of the bone anchor the intermediate lock moves inside and expands the hollow body diametrically increasing in size to secure the bone anchor to a bone opening.

  • Patent number: 9445928
Abstract: A delivery system for delivering a prosthesis, the delivery system including a housing, a sheath extending from within the housing, a clutching mechanism housed within the housing, and a cable. The clutching mechanism includes a one-way clutch that transmits a torque from an actuator to an inner shaft assembly when the actuator is rotated in a first direction and does not transmit a torque from the actuator to the inner shaft assembly when the actuator is rotated in a second opposing direction. The actuator is accessible from an exterior of the housing. The cable has a first end coupled to a proximal portion of the sheath and a second end coupled to the inner shaft assembly, and actuation of the actuator causes the actuator to rotate in the first direction, thereby causing the inner shaft assembly to wind up a portion of cable and retract the sheath.

  • Patent number: 9393380
Abstract: An introducer sheath includes an inner liner having a passageway extending longitudinally therethrough, a coil positioned over the inner liner, and an outer jacket positioned over the liner and the coil. The outer jacket is bonded to the inner liner between the coil turns. The coil turns have a cross-section comprising opposing end portions, and a center portion disposed between the opposing end portions. The center portion has a thickness not exceeding about one-third of a thickness of the end portions for reducing a bending modulus of the coil, and the end portions have a generally curved outer surface. At least a distal end portion of the outer jacket has a durometer between about 70 and 90 on the Shore D scale.

  • Patent number: 9314200
Abstract: A lancing device for collecting body fluid samples with a body at the end of which an endcap is arranged. The endcap has a positioning surface with an outlet opening. The device further comprises a socket to receive at least one lancet, which is interchangeably clamped in the body, a clamping device, and a release mechanism, with which the lancet is clamped inside the body. The lancing procedure is initiated with the tip of the lancet emerging through the outlet opening. An ejection device is used to eject a used lancet. The endcap is functionally coupled with the ejection device in such a way that, when the ejection device is actuated, the endcap is held pivotably on the body so that it can swing out of the path of the lancet.
