  • Patent number: 6711072
Abstract: A memory circuit contains areas having memory cells. To transfer memory data from/to the memory cells, two-wire local data lines are provided. Each of the local data lines is associated with one of the memory areas and is connected to a two-wire master data line, common to all the memory areas, by a line circuit-breaker. To represent the binary value of data on a local data line, the wires are driven, to first and second logic potentials. Each line circuit-breaker contains switching devices which, if one of the two wires in the local data line is at the second logic potential, autonomously transfer the potential to the associated wire in the master data line, and, if one of the two wires in the master data line is at the second logic potential, autonomously transfer the potential to the associated wire in the local data line.

  • Patent number: 6442063
Abstract: The integrated memory has memory cells with a magnetoresistive memory effect connected to column lines and row lines. Each of the memory cells is respectively wired between one of the column lines and one of the row lines. They are constructed such that they can be disconnected from the respective column line and/or row line by conducting a given current through the respective memory cell. It is thus possible to achieve a relatively small outlay for repairing a memory in the event of a defect of a memory cell.

  • Patent number: 6438014
Abstract: A module substrate has a plurality of module data terminal pairs individually provided in association with respective chip data terminals in a plurality of memory chips, and a plurality of module data wirings which respectively connect between the plurality of module data terminal pairs. The plurality of module data wirings are connected to their corresponding chip data terminals and are configured so as to be available as a memory access data bus. In a memory system in which a plurality of memory modules are arranged in parallel, module data wirings of each of the individual memory modules are connected in serial form, and each of the individual module data wirings do not constitute branch wirings with respect to a data bus on a motherboard of the memory system. In the memory modules, parallel access for the number of bits corresponding to the width of the memory access data bus is assured.

  • Patent number: 6434039
Abstract: A circuit configuration for reading a ferroelectric memory cell which has a ferroelectric capacitor is described. The memory cell is connected to a bit line. The circuit configuration provides a differential amplifier having a first differential amplifier input, a second differential amplifier input and a differential amplifier output. The first differential amplifier input is connected to the bit line, and the second differential amplifier input is connected to a reference signal. A first driver input of a first driver circuit is connected to the differential amplifier output, and a first driver output is connected to the bit line. The differential amplifier is fed back through the first driver circuit and regulates the bit line voltage to the voltage value of the reference signal.
