  • Patent number: 12367367
Abstract: A control system for an industrial vehicle includes a badge communicator and an information linking device. The badge communicator has a transceiver for short range communication with electronic badges that are within a fixed short range of the badge communicator, defining a first zone. The information linking device is programmed to execute program code. The program code extracts a current state of an operating parameter read from an industrial vehicle network bus, generates a second zone within the first zone that is defined based upon the extracted industrial vehicle operating parameter, detects a presence of an electronic badge within the first zone, determines whether the electronic badge is within the second zone, performs a first action if the detected electronic badge is not within the second zone, and performs a second action if the electronic badge is within the second zone.

  • Patent number: 12367765
Abstract: A real time information system provides real time comprehensive information to drivers on roads. It has short-interval units for mounting on a roadside barrier at intervals of 100 m and lower-density master control units at 1 km separations with more comprehensive displays. The short-interval units communicate with a master unit in a local area group. Local sensing of weather and traffic conditions at the master control unit allows advance warnings to drivers with a fast response time in an autonomous manner. The short-interval units have a saddle frame for fitting to the top of a central reservation barrier to allow low-level simple display of LED colour arrangements in a coordinated linear pattern when viewed in sequence by a driver. A subset of the short-interval saddle units, such as every tenth one may additionally have a display screen.

  • Patent number: 12300087
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and computer program products for alerting a user of a wearable device to adjust the position of the device are provided. An example method includes receiving environment data from a wearable device sensor, wherein the wearable device is mountable on an arm of the user and directed toward a hand of the user, the environment data including a representation of a calibrating object and a target machine-readable code having a determinable size. The example method further decodes the target machine-readable code. Additionally, the example method determines a position of the wearable device on the arm of the user based on the size of the calibrating object and the size of the target machine-readable code. The example method alerts the user to adjust the position of the wearable device when the position of the wearable device relative to the calibrating object exceeds a predetermined threshold.

  • Patent number: 12142132
Abstract: A system detects when sensors have become detached from equipment being monitored by the sensors. At least one sensor, such as a temperature sensor or an accelerometer, is mounted or otherwise positioned on equipment for monitoring operation of the equipment, and the sensor is coupled to a controller that may be configured to receive sensor data from the sensor. Based on the sensor data or otherwise, the controller is configured to detect when the sensor has become inadvertently detached from the equipment being monitored and notifies a user in response to such detection. The user may then take corrective action, such as reattaching the sensor to the equipment or replacing the sensor. Thus, detachment of the sensor from the equipment being monitored may be quickly detected and remedied, thereby reducing the amount of time that a sensor is unknowingly providing inaccurate information about the operation of the equipment.
