Abstract: A therapeutic support horseshoe includes a resilient, flexile moldable material formed in a U shape with an anterior segment from which opposing first and second side segments continuously extend to opposing caudal ends separated as an open heel and a pliable, metal rod-like reinforcer embedded in the flexile moldable material between opposing hoof-contacting and ground-contacting surfaces, the reinforcer extending from one caudal end, through the anterior segment, to the other caudal end of the horseshoe. The horseshoe so formed includes an inner side surface and an outer side surface between the opposing hoof-contacting and ground-contacting surfaces a slot formed in the inner side surface, approximately halfway between the opposing hoof-contacting and ground-contacting surfaces, and extending from the one caudal end to the other caudal end.

Abstract: An equine boot attachment and/or solid structure shoe that is designed to be attached on the underside of an equine boot or an equine hoof that allows the boot or hoof to roll forward, or to the side, without unnecessary bending, thus allowing an equine user to find a comfortable natural position to relieve stress on a sore, injured or diseased hoof. The rocking action allows the equine to adjust its stance to find the most comfortable position, not unlike standing in a bed of sand. This ability to find a naturally comfortable standing position is especially important for equine with lameness such as laminitis.
Abstract: A flexible abrasion resistant omnidirectionally reflective retractable pet leash has an omnidirectionally reflective pet leash housed within a retractable housing device. The omnidirectionally reflective pet leash reflects an incoming light beam back in the same direction as it was emanated. The reflected light beam provides accurate illumination of the pet leash and the location of the pet during dusk or nighttime hours. This retractable pet leash is created by surrounding a central braided rope of nylon or polyethylene fibers with a cylindrically braided reflective sleeve. The braided reflective sleeve is composed of braided narrow width reflective strips each comprising a plurality of reflective threads worked together to form a weave. Due to the braided weave of the reflective threads and the arrangement of the microscopic reflectors light incident thereon from virtually any angle is reflected back to its source.
Abstract: A control and monitoring system for a rotating animal platform which includes multiple animal stalls arranged about its periphery, where the system includes an interactive display screen which displays output information relating to the current status of operations on the platform and which displays input channels for use by an operator, the platform itself is represented at said interactive display screen by an annular shape, each stall on the platform is graphically represented by a cell, the cells are displayed in a spatial arrangement corresponding to the arrangement of stalls on the platform, real-time status information relating to operations on the platform is represented at each cell, and the rotating movement of the platform is represented by the progression of each cell about the displayed representation of the platform.
Abstract: A milk analyzing system is disclosed, which includes a milk constituent analyzing unit configured to analyze milk from a milking station with respect to a specific constituent of the milk, and a control device communicatively connected to the milking station and to the milk constituent analyzing unit. The control device is configured to retrieve an analyzing appropriateness parameter for each of the animals milked by the milking station indicating an appropriateness of analyzing milk from the animal with respect to the specific constituent. The control device is configured to control the milk constituent analyzing unit to analyze milk from the milking station with respect to the specific constituent when the time elapsed from when the milk constituent analyzing unit last analyzed milk exceeds a threshold time period, irrespective of the analyzing appropriateness parameter for the animal milked by the milking station.
Abstract: A livestock feeding device is provided. The feeding device has a body member including a base portion, side walls and a top portion. The device also includes an inner volume defined between the side walls, the base portion and the top portion, wherein the inner volume receives hay for feeding livestock. The feeding device includes an aperture extending through the top portion to provide feeding access to the inner volume. The feeding device also comprises an consumption restriction plate for metering the amount of hay eaten by livestock, wherein the consumption restriction plate is adjustable up and down within the inner volume in response to the amount of hay within the inner volume.
Abstract: A plant cultivation container is provided which does not need a feed-water tube made of a porous material or the like but the plant cultivation bed material can be made permeated in a relatively short time period. For this purpose, a water reservoir portion for pooling plant cultivation water is provided, the water reservoir portion having a bed material accommodation part for placing a water-absorbing plant cultivation bed material. In the plant cultivation container, the water reservoir portion is provided with a surrounding feed-water channel that surrounds an entire circumference of the bed material accommodation part, and a feed-discharge channel for supplying the plant cultivation water from outside to the water reservoir portion and for discharging the plant cultivation water in the water reservoir portion to outside is provided in communication with the surrounding feed-water channel.
Abstract: An arrangement, which is provided for determining the position of an animal, comprises a three-dimensional camera directed towards the animal and provided to record a three-dimensional image of the animal, and image processing means is provided for detecting the animal and determining its position in at least one spatial dimension based on the three-dimensional image of the animal. The image processing means may form a three-dimensional surface representation of a portion of the animal from the three-dimensional image of the animal, analyze the surface of the three-dimensional surface representation, and determine the position of the animal based on the analysis of the surface of the three-dimensional surface representation.
Abstract: The bowl is divided into lower and upper compartments. The side of the lower compartment is formed in part, by a lower portion of the side wall of the bowl and, in part, by a upwardly extending wall which extends upward from the bottom of the bowl and terminates at a platform of the upper compartment. Alternatively, the side of the lower compartment is formed entirely by an upwardly extending wall which extends upwardly from the bottom of the bowl and which is spaced apart from the side wall of the bowl. Abstract: An adjustable planter disk comprised of a circular disk constructed of a single resin composite sheet is disclosed. The sheet has a first terminating end that overlaps, or partially overlaps, a second terminating end. The sheet includes a peripheral edge and center hole. The first terminating end rotates overtop the second terminating end and latches thereto using a pair of hooks on the first terminating end and a series of corresponding holes on the second terminating end to create differing radii. The sheet is divided into a plurality of sectors, each sector including a living hinge that runs from the peripheral edge to the center that allows for the first terminating end to extend and contract. Additionally, along the peripheral edge of the circular are a plurality of water drainage holes.

Abstract: A plant growth promotion device includes: a flat-plate rotor, a motor coupled to the rotor by a rotary shaft, and a plurality of permanent magnets fixed in place at arbitrary intervals within the rotor, the rotor being rapidly rotatable by the rotary shaft that is coupled to the motor, so as to produce an alternating magnetic field. The device is used by situating and operating it in an agricultural field of crops so that the alternating magnetic field is produced in the agricultural field.
Abstract: A hydroponic growing system that comprises a plurality of parallel horizontal pipes, a vertical drain pipe, and a plurality of nutrient-delivering tubes. The horizontal pipes are adapted to support crops that receive nutrients from the nutrient-delivering tubes and grow in high density. The horizontal pipes have opposite first and second ends, as well as a plurality of openings along a length, and a plurality of pipe segments extending angularly from an outer surface. The vertical drain pipe has a plurality of angular pipe extensions along a length, which mate with one of the first and second ends of the horizontal pipes. The nutrient-delivering tubes have openings along a length and extend from the vertical drain pipe, branching through the pipe segments extending from the horizontal pipes.

Abstract: A dog-training method includes a device having a left connector, a right connector, a back strap, a girth strap, and a chest strap. The chest strap at a first end couples to the right connector and a left second end passes through a center portion of the left connector and ends in a left-leash coupler which is larger than the center portion of the left connector so that the left-leash coupler cannot pass through the center portion of the left connector. The chest strap further includes a right free-moving strap coupled to the left connector with a right second end passing through a center portion of the right connector and terminating in a right-leash coupler that is configured larger than the center portion of the right connector so that the right-leash coupler cannot pass through the center portion of the right connector.
Abstract: A structure for underwater placement on a sea, lake or river bottom. The structure has tunnels to allow water and water currents, as well as marine organisms, to pass freely therethrough and infiltrate and colonize the openings. One or more hitch points are provided on the structure for attaching mooring lines to ships, boats, floating wind turbines or other floating objects, thereby allowing the structure to serve as a mooring to anchor such objects. The hitch points can be recessed within a depression in the surface of the structure and the hitch bar ends can also be recessed, providing an exterior surface free of protuberances.
