  • Patent number: 7100805
Abstract: An air freshener for dispensing a spray of deodorant, includes a housing in which a holder can be received for containing deodorant. A sliding bar has an end in contact with a door or doorway, so that a door movement results in a movement of the sliding bar. A wedge-shaped press member is coupled with the sliding bar, which during a movement of the sliding bar causes the dispensing member to move in a direction transverse to the movement of the sliding bar. The sliding bar includes a guide along which the press member can be moved in a direction transverse to the sliding bar. The press member operates a coupling piece between the press member and the dispensing member, and the coupling piece includes a round upper side including a contact surface for the wedge-shaped press member.

  • Patent number: 7040361
Abstract: A dispensing nozzle activation lever lock for use with a dispensing nozzle such as a fuel dispensing nozzle having a handle portion, a trigger guard, and a pump activation lever allows an operator to dispense fuel without having to continuously hold the pump activation lever. The fuel pump activation lever lock includes a first and second engagement arm disposed opposite ends of each other. The first engagement end engages the trigger guard, while the second engagement arm engages the pump activation lever such that the fuel pump activation lever lock holds the pump activation lever in a position wherein the fuel pump nozzle continuously dispenses fuel without the operator holding the pump activation lever. The fuel pump activation lever lock also preferably includes a slot sized and shaped to engage a fuel cap such that the fuel pump activation lever lock may be stored within a fuel chamber on a vehicle.

  • Patent number: 7021501
Abstract: A lock for a liquid dispensing faucet lever includes a locking member that is attachable to the faucet and can be positioned in a locked position where the lever seats in a notch formed therein to prevent moving the lever from the closed position to the open position. The locking member may be attached to the faucet via an opening extending therethrough for receiving the faucet's spout, such that the locking member is rotatable about the spout. The locking member is rotatable from the locked position to an unlocked position in which the lever is not seated in the notch, allowing movement of the lever from the closed position to the open position. The locking member may be configured such that it automatically moves from the unlocked to the locked position upon movement of the lever from the open to the closed position.

  • Patent number: 7021500
Abstract: A transportable two-component fluid dispensing kit. The kit includes a container having a front panel and rear panel joined by side panels to form a chamber. Each of the panels have a top edge and a bottom edge joined by side edges, each of the side edges are connected to an adjacent side edge to form the chamber. At least one bottom panel having an edge joined to one of the bottom edges closes over the bottom of the chamber. In one embodiment, the front panel top edge includes a cut out to form an access opening. A top panel having a rearward edge joined to the top edge of the rearward panel closes over the top of the chamber, and top side panels extending downwardly from a forward edge and side edges of the top panel overlaps the front panel cut out and the side panels of said chamber. In another embodiment, a handle for maintaining a space between valves fixed to pressure vessels received in the carton.

  • Patent number: 7004358
Abstract: A dispenser has a seal disk (30), a valve member (40), a plunger guide block (50), a motor (3), which rotates a cam-follower guide block (60), and an end cam (5). The seal disk (30) has communication holes (31), (32) and a sliding surface (33). The valve member has a sliding surface (41), three plunger holes (42) and three plungers (80) inserted in the plunger holes. The cam-follower guide block (60) has three guide holes (62) that receive cam followers, which each have a body (70) with a ball (75) within a recess (71). The ball (75) contacts the cam surface (5A) of the cam (5) which causes the cam followers and plungers (80) to move back and forth parallel to the dispenser axis. The coefficient of friction between the ball and the recess is less than that between the ball and the cam surface (5A).

  • Patent number: 6981611
Abstract: A caulking gun includes a tip which enables an adhesive, or other extrudable compound, to be laid down consistently, accurately, and rapidly along a base or base board or other elongated structure. The tip includes at least one guide which extends outside the plane of the surface of an outlet portion of the tip. The guide engages an edge of the base or base board, as the caulking gun is moved along the base or base board, and as the compound is extruded. As long as the guide is firmly engaged with the base or base board, the compound will be laid down consistently in neat, straight lines. In another embodiment, an attachment converts a caulking gun tip of the prior art into one having the essential features of the present invention. The invention enhances the productivity of construction personnel, and improves the quality of work, by virtually insuring that adhesives, or other compounds, are applied consistently and accurately.

  • Patent number: 6974051
Abstract: A carafe content identification marking system is taught that is used for designating the contents of a liquid in a carafe. The preferred carafe (20) is the counter top, double wall vacuum sealed, high flow type having an open handle. (22). The stopper cap (24) of the carafe has a selected identification color representing the contents of the carafe. A removable handle grip (38) and thumb rest (40) are disposed over the handle of the carafe and also have the same selected identification color as the stopper cap. An identification marker in the form of a snap-in insert (42) is attached to the carafe having the same selected identification color as the stopper cap in addition to indicia designating in writing, the contents of the carafe. The color combination and indicia readily indicates, at a casual glance, the type of liquid stored within.

  • Patent number: 6966457
Abstract: A device for squeezing various household collapsible tubes comprises two lever handles, two pintles, two torsional springs, a primary roller, and a secondary roller. The lever handles are held together by and are free to rotate about the two pintles, forming a double non-crossing class 1 lever arrangement. The rollers, held in gudgeons by snap fit, are also free to rotate. The primary roller is distinguished from the secondary roller by having a crank at one end. The torsional springs, anchored by the pintles, provide a torque which causes the two rollers to clamp together. Operation of the tube squeezing device proceeds by inserting the crimped end of a collapsible tube between the rollers and turning the crank, thereby turning the rollers so as to squeeze the tube flat and to push its contents toward the nozzle end. Insertion and extraction of the tube is effected most readily by applying a compressive force to the two lever handles, creating a gap between the rollers for the tube to easily pass through.
