Abstract: The present application relates generally to identifying regions of interest in images, including but not limited to whole slide image region of interest identification, prioritization, de-duplication, and normalization via interpretable rules, nuclear region counting, point set registration, and histogram specification color normalization. This disclosure describes systems and methods for analyzing and extracting regions of interest from images, for example biomedical images depicting a tissue sample from biopsy or ectomy. Techniques directed to quality control estimation, granular classification, and coarse classification of regions of biomedical images are described herein. Using the described techniques, patches of images corresponding to regions of interest can be extracted and analyzed individually or in parallel to determine pixels correspond to features of interest and pixels that do not.

  • Patent number: 11927586
Abstract: A method and system for inspection of an item, and a use thereof, are presented. The method comprises acquiring a plurality of projection images of an item at a plurality of projection angles for performing a tomographic reconstruction of the item. A plurality of objects are detected in the tomographic reconstruction and each object has a generic shape described by a parametric three-dimensional numerical model. Said detection comprises determining initial estimates of position and/or orientation of each object and at least one geometrical parameter of the three-dimensional model for each object. The initial estimates are iteratively refining by using a projection-matching approach, in which forward projection images are simulated for the objects according to operating parameters of the radiation imaging device and a difference metric between acquired projection images and simulated forward projection images is reduced at each iteration step.

  • Patent number: 11842573
Abstract: A method for enhancing liveness detection of image data is provided that includes receiving image data of a person and using multi-resolution convolution and octave convolution techniques to extract first and second frequency components from the received image data. The method also includes comparing the first frequency component against data in a first frequency map and comparing the second frequency component against data in a second frequency map. Furthermore, the method includes determining whether the first frequency component satisfies matching criteria with data in the first frequency map and determining whether the second frequency component satisfies matching criteria with data in the second frequency map. In response to determining the first and second frequency components fail to satisfy the data in the respective frequency map, the method concludes that the received image data was not taken of a live person.

  • Patent number: 11836966
Abstract: An efficient across-camera target re-identification method based on similarity, which obtains a plurality of matching pairs and similarity scores thereof through two groups of targets to be matched; wherein for the matching pairs that are not matched by both parties, only a part of the matching pairs with higher similarity scores are selected each time, and the matching pairs are traversed according to the order of the similarity scores thereof from large to small, and the matching pairs and the similarity scores thereof are output as a matching result; when any target to be matched in a matching pair already appears in the matching result, the target cannot be output as the matching result; unmatched matching pairs are repeated traversed until the matching result reaches the expectation. The method firstly solves the multi-target matching problem based on similarity, and greatly reduces the time complexity and improves the efficiency.
