  • Patent number: 11762892
Abstract: A location-aware search assist capability identifies location-aware search query suggestions using location information associated with the location-aware search query suggestions. A user's search query input and location and a location associated with each location-aware search query suggestion candidates may be used to identify a set of search query suggestions for presentation to the user. Location-aware search query suggestion candidates may be ranked in accordance with a closeness of each one's location to the user's location. The ranking may be performed using a score, such as a popularity score associated with each search query suggestion candidate. The location-aware search query suggestion candidates having a location closer to the user's location may be promoted by adjusting each candidate's popularity score upward, and the search query suggestion candidates that are farther away from the user's location may be demoted by adjusting each such candidate's popularity score downward.

  • Patent number: 11755674
Abstract: The disclosure relates to dynamically selecting a radius threshold for a device. The system identifies, based on sensor data detected by a sensor of the device, a location of the device. The system generates a feature representation for each of a plurality of features based on a query input into the device, the location of the device, and a plurality of entity locations corresponding to the query. The system accesses a data structure storing optimum radii correlated with a presence of the plurality of features and a corresponding performance metric based on network activity. The system determines the radius threshold based on the optimum radii and the plurality of features. The system identifies an eligible entity location having a distance from the device that is within the radius threshold. The system selects, for display on the device, a content item for the eligible entity location.

  • Patent number: 11741084
Abstract: A method and system provide the ability to manage data. Property sets consisting of property set objects are created based on a schema that defines a type and a version of the objects. The property sets are organized hierarchically to form a property tree. A commit graph stores the property set objects via an append only data structure. The commit graph provides a topology of changes between states of the objects as commit nodes organized as parent commit nodes and child commit nodes. Change sets represent a change between two commit nodes. Each change set tracks changes made on the objects, and the changes specify permitted basic operations including insert, remove, or modify operations that are applied on each state to get to a next state of the objects.

  • Patent number: 11681661
Abstract: Hybrid synchronization using a shadow component includes detecting a first component of a plurality of mirrored components of a distributed data object becoming unavailable. The mirrored components include a delta component (a special shadow component) and a regular mirror (shadow) component. The delta component indicates a shorter history of changes to data blocks of a log-structured file system (LFS) than is indicated by the regular mirror component. During the unavailability of the first component, at least one write I/O is committed by the delta component. The commit is tracked by the delta component in a first tracking bitmap associated with the delta component. Based at least on detecting the first component becoming available, the first component is synchronized with data from the delta component, based at least on changed data blocks indicated in the first tracking bitmap.
