  • Patent number: 7938395
Abstract: A sheet feeding device includes a driven roller that rotates in response to movement of a sheet, and a rotary encoder that detects a moving distance of the sheet based on rotation of the driven roller. The driven roller and the rotary encoder are connected by a gear unit having backlash. When the sheet moves in a reverse direction and thereby the driven roller rotates in reverse, the rotary encoder does not detect the moving distance of the sheet.

  • Patent number: 7934718
Abstract: A printing system with a pre-determined printing rate, in which a modular print media sheets feeding system feeds unprinted sheets to the printing system from at least two separate sheet separator/feeders and sheet stacks under the control of a programmed sheet feeding algorithm which alternately feeds the sheets into at least two separate fed sheet streams at a sheet feeding cycle time for each separator/feeder of approximately one-half or less of the printing system printing rate and with sheet feeding commands such that the separate sheet separator/feeders feed their respective sheets into their respective fed sheet streams at programmed times which allow the fed sheet streams to interleave into a single fed sheet stream at a sheet merging position at the full pre-determined printing rate of the printing system before being fed to the printing system.

  • Patent number: 7934721
Abstract: An equipment for transferring sheets with change of direction for sheets entering along a first direction comprises output rollers to move the sheets along a second direction, right-angled with respect to the first direction, and members of engagement and movement, actuatable for engaging and moving the sheets entering along the first direction along the second direction up to the engagement with the output rollers. The members of engagement and movement provide a condition of reception in which define a space of reception for the entering sheets and a condition of engagement and movement in which engage the entered sheets and move the sheets for the engagement with the output rollers. The members of engagement and movement return to the condition of reception upon the engagement of the entered sheet with the output rollers for enabling a following sheet—to enter and to be moved along the first direction jointly with the movement of the previous entered sheet along the second direction.

  • Patent number: 7934717
Abstract: A rotation-transmitting mechanism includes a first planetary gear mechanism and a locking mechanism. The first planetary gear mechanism transmits rotational driving force to the transportation unit through a first planet gear to rotate the transportation roller when the motor rotates in a first direction, and transmits rotational driving force to the transportation unit through a second planet gear to rotate the transportation roller when the motor rotates in a second direction. The locking mechanism can lock a planetary rocking member of the first planetary gear mechanism in such a condition that rotational driving force of the motor is transmitted to the transportation unit through the second planet gear. The locking mechanism terminates locking of the planetary rocking member of the first planetary gear mechanism by engaging with the sheet in the transportation path downstream of the transportation roller with respect to the direction in which the sheet is transported.

  • Patent number: 7934599
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for separation of construction waste. In the method, the construction waste, crushed to a predetermined size, is added to liquid in a precipitation tank and separated into components in the tank according to specific gravity, in which the liquid has a reference specific gravity lower than that of a component to be recovered but higher than that of the remaining components, such that only the component to be recovered is separated by precipitation to the bottom of the precipitation tank. According to the method, high-quality recyclable aggregate contained in the construction waste can be easily separated from other impurities through a simple process. Particularly, the reference specific gravity of the separation liquid is suitably adjusted so that the recyclable aggregate can be easily separated even from impurities (tiles, red brick, asphalt concrete, cement paste mass, etc.) heavier than water, unlike the prior separation process using an aerated water tank.
