Abstract: A slide rail for damping a first side of a belt device of a belt drive includes an outer slide surface, an inner slide surface, an axial web, and a support-receiving element. The inner slide surface is oriented parallel to, and away from, the outer slide surface, and includes a rear side. The axial web has an axial extension disposed on the rear side. The support-receiving element is designed to orient the outer slide surface and the inner slide surface to damp the first side. In an example embodiment, the slide rail includes a transverse rib connecting the inner slide surface to the axial web.
Abstract: A base and movable platform are connected by a linearly extendable member, so that a motor may be adjustably located at a desired distance from other machinery which receives power. A motor mounted on such a movable platform may be linearly displaced so that belts, chain, or silent chain or the like may be adjusted to operate at a desired tension. In another embodiment, a motor driving a gear train may be adjusted so that the depth of engagement of meshed teeth and the allowable backlash between a driving gear on the motor and a driven gear may be adjusted and controlled. An automatic belt tension control system may be constructed by adding a tension sensor and a control module configured to maintain operating tensions within a preferred range and optionally to emit alarms or command a shutdown if an unsafe condition is detected.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a captive sprocket system for an engine, comprising: a sprocket including a first sprocket gear, a second sprocket gear and a retaining disc having a diameter and a thickness; a cylinder block having a bore with a central opening and a plurality of threaded bosses, the plurality of threaded bosses together forming an axial support surface and a radial location surface, the axial support surface and the radial location surface being sized to receive the retaining disc of the sprocket to support and locate the sprocket; and a plurality of captivation screws configured to be received by the plurality of threaded bosses, each captivation screw having a head with a lower surface which, when the captivation screw is received by a threaded boss, overlies the retaining disc and retains the sprocket in the bore.

Abstract: A toothed belt includes at least one tension member and a plastics material matrix which at least partially encases the tension member. The at least one tension member extends in the plastics material matrix in a running direction and teeth of the toothed belt are formed transversely to the running direction in the plastics material matrix. The tension member is formed from an electrically conductive material and the plastics material matrix is formed from an electrically insulating material. The toothed belt has at least one electronic component which is embedded in the plastics material matrix and has at least one sensor which detects data on a condition parameter of the toothed belt. The at least one electronic component is coupled to the tension member via at least two voltage taps to tap a voltage induced in the tension member to supply the at least one electronic component with power.
