Abstract: The club length of a golf club is 43 inches or greater and 48 inches or less. A club inertia moment Ix about a swing axis is equal to or less than 6.90×103 (kg·cm2). A ratio (Ihs/Ix) is equal to or greater than 0.88, if a head inertia moment about the swing axis is defined as Ihs (kg·cm2). The inertia moment Ix (kg·cm2) is calculated by Equation (1) below, and the inertia moment Ihs (kg·cm2) is calculated by Equation (2) below: Ix=Wc×(Lc+60)2+Ic??(1) Ihs=Wh×(Lh+60)2+Ih??(2).
Abstract: A golf club head is provided with a body that has an address position with a zero degree bounce portion on the sole and a center sole position with a multi-relief surface of the sole having a negative bounce portion. The negative bounce portion may comprise a negative 0.5 to a negative 4.0 degree surface. In one embodiment, the multi-relief surface may comprise the negative bounce portion and a cutaway portion extending to the back of the sole, which may have a depth of about 0.05 to 0.5 inch from a regular sole surface. In another embodiment, the golf club head includes a weight system to adjust the center of gravity. In one embodiment, the weight system is a tube having a weight at one end that may be inserted into the golf club head to move the center of gravity at least forward and backward within 6 mm and up and down within 6 mm. Preferably, the tube is angled downward toward the face by at least 3 degrees.

Abstract: A golf club head has a hollow and comprises a face portion having a club face for hitting a ball, a sole portion defining a bottom face of the club head, and a hosel into which a tip end of a golf club shaft is inserted. The hosel protrudes into the hollow. The sole portion is provided in its club face side with a thick ribbed part having a thickness of from 3.0 to 10.0 mm and extending in the toe-heel direction of the head. In the hollow, the ribbed part is connected to the hosel.
Abstract: A combined golf club cover and stand comprises a substantially rigid base and a cover portion configured to securely hold a head of a golf club against the substantially rigid base. The substantially rigid base includes a bottom platform, a first side wall, and an opposing second side wall with a bottom ledge that extends toward the first side wall, such that when the head of the golf club is held against the substantially rigid base, a toe end of the head is in contact with an interior surface of the first side wall, and a heel end of the head sits on the bottom ledge of the second side wall. The assembled golf club and combined golf club cover and stand is thus capable of standing upright, without any outside support, when the bottom platform is on a substantially flat underlying ground surface.
