  • Patent number: 9995470
Abstract: The present invention provides a light-emitting panel attachment structure, a light-emitting panel aligned-arrangement structure, and a light-emitting panel that enable light-emitting panels to be arranged with no gap therebetween on an installation surface such as a ceiling. An attachment side fitting part is turnably attached to a coupling part. An attachment device is changeable between a parallel orientation in which the light-emitting panel is parallel to the installation surface and an intersecting orientation in which the light-emitting panel faces a direction intersecting the installation surface, along with the turn of the attachment side fitting part. When the light-emitting panel is attached to the attachment device, the attachment device is changed to or maintained in the intersecting orientation, and either the light-emitting panel or the attachment device is moved to slide parallel to an emission surface to fit a panel side fitting part with the attachment side fitting part.

  • Patent number: 9909729
Abstract: Electric lighting devices are described having a candle body with an upper surface coupled to a sidewall. A flame element is disposed entirely outside of the candle body and include one or more magnets or a ferrous material. The flame element is supported above the upper surface by a support member that extends upwardly from the upper surface and terminates at a first end disposed within the flame element. This allows the flame element some degree of movement about the support member that combined with a light source configured to illuminate a surface of the flame element creates a flickering flame effect. The device can also include a drive mechanism such as an electromagnet that generates an electromagnetic field that interacts with the magnets of the flame element to thereby cause movement of the flame element.

  • Patent number: 9863605
Abstract: A variety of light-emitting devices for general illumination utilizing solid state light sources (e.g., light emitting diodes) are disclosed. In general, the devices include a scattering element in combination with an extractor element. The scattering element, which may include elastic and/or inelastic scattering centers, is spaced apart from the light source element. Opposite sides of the scattering element have asymmetric optical interfaces, there being a larger refractive index mismatch at the interface facing the light emitting element than the interface between the scattering element and the extractor element. Such a structure favors forward scattering of light from the scattering element. In other words, the system favors scattering out of the scattering element into the extractor element over backscattering light towards the light source element.
