  • Patent number: 9289793
Abstract: A profile correction module is comprised of a reinforced convex steel form accurately and firmly held in position to create a metering gap along the face of the pickup roller to control the liquid coating material that is applied to the pickup roller and subsequently transferred to the nip between the pickup and applicator rollers prior to being applied to the substrate or “strip”. By flushing stale material from the metering gap with fresh coating material, edge-to-edge temperature variations are eliminated resulting in a uniform film thickness across the width of the strip.

  • Patent number: 9253990
Abstract: A food product applicator device has a frame on which a slidable die plate is mounted for reciprocating movement created by a pneumatic cylinder. A food hopper mounted on the frame above the die plate has a bottom opening through which food is pressed into apertures in the die plate. Tracks on the frame constrain the die plate to horizontal motion. The frame is about 1.6 times as long as the die plate. The lengths of the frame and die plate are such that when the die plate moves neither the leading edge nor the trailing edge of the die plate extends beyond the ends of the frame. A driver plate laterally spaced from the food hopper has fingers that can be lowered to eject food pieces from the apertures onto a substrate located on a shelf below the die plate.

  • Patent number: 9192955
Abstract: Device for carrying out surface treatment on large objects, such as spray-painting of ships. In the prior art, a substantial proportion of the spray mist is deposited elsewhere, which is unwanted. The device proposes an enclosure which is movable along the hull of the ship, from which the spray-painting operation can be carried out through an opening disposed in the enclosure. An air curtain extending to the hull of the ship is present around this opening, through which it is not possible for spray to escape between the enclosure and the ship's hull. An extraction facility for mist is present in the enclosure and supply openings for air are provided. The enclosure consists of a housing which is accessible via a door.

  • Patent number: 8944000
Abstract: Discs (7) arranged along a shaft and having holders (8) distributed over the circumference, inclined outwards and intended for workpieces are supported on a ring (5) surrounding the discs (7). Successive rings (5) form an approximately cylindrical cladding which prevents undesired coating of the discs (7). Cladding has openings for the holders (8) of a disc (7) which are uniformly distributed over the circumference at the same height, each formed by an upper recess (14) in the ring (5) carrying the disc (7) and an adjacent lower recess (15) of the following ring. Boundary lines (17) between successive rings (5) start somewhat below the narrowest points of the webs separating adjacent openings, so that the lower recesses (15) do not narrow towards the edge of the ring (5) and the upper recesses (14) narrow at most slightly so that the workpiece carrier can be assembled from bottom to top.
