Abstract: Described is a method for auction based decentralized ticket allotment. The method includes receiving a ticket indicating a system problem, generating an auction for the ticket, receiving at least one bid, based on the auction, to resolve the system problem from at least one agent, the at least one bid including one of a time to resolution, a hold and a no bid, and allotting the ticket to an agent based on the at least one bid.

Abstract: A method and device for temporally sequenced recommendations of activities delivers to users temporally sequenced objects comprising user activities, wherein the delivered objects are selected based, at least in part, on inferences of preferences from usage behaviors. The delivered objects may include activities associated with processor-based devices in addition to human activities. Variations of the system and method include delivering the temporally sequenced objects in accordance with the contents of the objects and user feedback with regard to the objects. Information as to why objects were delivered to users may be provided to the users.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and program storage device for scheduling the performance of maintenance tasks to maintain a system environment is disclosed. A parameter for a computer system is monitored to detect a need to perform at least one maintenance task. At least one maintenance task is performed when the monitoring detects the need to perform at least one maintenance task or at least once within a predetermined period.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a system for motivating electronically-scheduled event attendance can include a set of attendance listening components, an attendance prompt, and an attendance prompting tool. The attendance listening components can monitor activities performed in a networked environment. The attendance prompt can represent an electronic message and feedback mechanism that is provided on an electronic device. The attendance prompting tool can interject the attendance prompt into an activity identified by an attendance listening component as being performed by a user-selected member of the networked environment. The attendance prompt can be associated with an electronically-scheduled event the user-selected member is to attend.

Abstract: The present invention is a web-based software application designed to monitor implementation of an issue. The invention includes receiving information from a user on the issue to be monitored; receiving information from a user on an assignment on the issue; and sending the assignment to a recipient. An acknowledgement is received from the recipient on the assignment. Reminders are forwarded to the recipient when the acknowledgement is not received within a predetermined time period, and the reminders can be automatically forwarded at predetermined time periods. Information is received on the issues from a user or an external source, and listed in a form which can be filtered and sorted according to predetermined criteria. A completion status of the regulatory issue can be displayed.

Abstract: A technologically improved system and corresponding method of operation tracks and manages activities and tasks occurring at an activity venue. In particular, the system operates to track locations and pace of play or participation of the patrons at the activity venue and through various improved technological processes and interactions enabled by the unique hardware of the system, provide the patrons with feedback to manage their locations for an improved participation experience. Furthermore, the system leverages collected information and data to enable live traffic control of the patrons, provide predictive analytics related to gameplay and flow of traffic, and provide operators and patrons with information necessary to maximize a pace of place while optimally maintaining the venue around the patrons without interruption to the patrons and thereby improve the experience of the patrons at the activity venue.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method and a system facilitate social recognition of agents. A first user interface (UI) is presented to a customer on a device in proximity to the customer subsequent to a completion of an interaction of the customer with an agent. The first UI comprises one or more survey questions related to a performance of the agent. A determination of whether the performance of the agent satisfies a predetermined condition is performed based on an input received from the customer in response to the one or more survey questions. A second UI is presented to the customer to request the customer to provide an endorsement for the agent if the performance of the agent satisfies the predetermined condition. A posting of the endorsement on one or more social media profiles of the agent is effected upon receiving the endorsement for the agent from the customer.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a method comprises: receiving pre-planting data representing a lower bound date value and an upper bound date value of dates for a pre-planting application of fertilizer to an agricultural field; side-dressing data representing a lower bound date value and an upper bound date value of dates for a side-dressing application; fertilizer cost data representing a cost of a fertilizer application; labor cost data representing a cost of applying fertilizer to the field; and expected profit data. Based on the received data, one or more penalty constraints are determined. Based on the received data, a fertilizing schedule is generated. The schedule comprises the one or more valid calendar dates on which fertilizing the agricultural field is recommended and the one or more valid fertilizer amounts to be applied to the agricultural field on the one or more valid calendar dates to maximize a yield from the agricultural field.

Abstract: The present invention is generally a system and method for transacting lead records and scheduled appointment records concerning business opportunities in the real estate industry. The transactions may include offering the scheduled appointment records or lead records for sale, as well as auctioning the records. Several software modules may be provided to: receive, categorize, qualify, and distribute leads that mature into transactional opportunities; determine the geographic location of real estate client users and transactional opportunities near a user's location or selected region; facilitate management of each transactional opportunity by the client user; facilitate management of each transactional opportunity by the service provider; and various other functions and services consistent with the present system and method. Moreover, an exchange platform may be implemented with the present system whereby affiliates of the service provider may introduce their own leads and sell them to subscribers.

Abstract: A system for smart alerts in a batch system for an IT enterprise. The method includes alert configuration by identifying recent steady state of a batch job and deriving schedules for the steady state. The normal behaviour is then computed within the schedules. The method further includes aggregating the one or more alerts by identifying correlated group of alerts by pruning of one or more jobs and alerts, detecting correlations between the two or more alerts and deriving causality of the grouped alerts. The method finally includes predicting of future alerts of a batch job.

The database system identifies level-based job responsibilities associated with the job level. The database system identifies department-based job responsibilities associated with the job department. The database system identifies at least one job responsibility associated with the job title based on the level-based job responsibilities and the department-based job responsibilities. The database system stores each identified job responsibility in metadata and/or a field associated with the object. The database system outputs a message based on the object to a user device, in response to a search that specifies any identified job responsibility.

Abstract: A system for building a vehicle system determines cargo and vehicles to carry the cargo from a first location to a second location via one or more vehicle yards disposed between the locations. One or more characteristics of the vehicle yards are determined, as well as different builds of the vehicle system based on the cargo, the vehicle units, and the characteristics of the vehicle yards. The different builds designate different combinations of where the first cargo is carried in a vehicle system that includes the vehicle units and/or where the vehicle units are located relative to each other in the vehicle system. A build of the vehicle system is selected from among the different builds for forming the vehicle system according to the build in order to reduce the time spent handling or processing the vehicle system at another vehicle yard.

Generating the dynamic offer includes associating a rule for manipulating the value of the dynamic offer based on a context input. Abstract: A method of reallocating inventory in a fulfillment network is disclosed herein. The fulfillment network can include a plurality of distribution centers. An allocation plan can be created in a one of a variety of different manners, where the allocation plan involves allocating an item to one or more distribution centers in the fulfillment network. Thereafter, the allocation plan can be analyzed for feasibility. If the allocation plan is not feasible, each distribution center in the allocation plan can be analyzed to determine if using the distribution center is feasible. If the distribution center cannot be used, another distribution in the same cluster of distribution centers is examined for feasibility. This process is repeated for each distribution center in the allocation plan. Once an alternative allocation plan has been developed in this manner, items can be allocated. Existing inventory can be taken into account in the allocation plan.
