  • Patent number: 6264437
Abstract: A device enables the pumping of any kind of liquid while giving the liquid very high delivery pressure. The units that cause pumped liquid suction and then its delivery are driven exclusively by hydraulic means excluding mechanical means. So that there is no material contact between the driving units and the pumped product and that the product cannot damage the mechanical driving units, the chamber receiving the hydraulic fluid is, at the end of each compression cycle, placed again in direct communication with the hydraulic fluid reservoir.

  • Patent number: 6244829
Abstract: A liquid forced-feed apparatus has a built-in float in a hermetic vessel provided with a working fluid inlet port, a working fluid discharge port, a forced-feed liquid inlet port, and a forced-feed liquid discharge port. A snap mechanism which is actuated to operate the working fluid inlet port and the working fluid discharge port with the upward and downward strokes of the float, to thereby force a liquid in the hermetic vessel out through the forced-feed liquid discharge port. A power transmitting shaft for transmitting the upward-and-downward movement of the float to the snap mechanism extends out of the hermetic vessel. The snap mechanism is disposed outside of the hermetic vessel.

  • Patent number: 6186743
Abstract: A sequential controller is provided for sequencing multiple electric loads such electric pumps. That is, for each cycle the next load is designated as the lead load in a round-robin fashion. The controller uses cost effective electro-mechanical relay logic an thus avoids conventional solid state technology. In order to sequence the loads on each successive cycle, the electro-mechanical relay connected to the sensors comprises a double-throw contact set. The double-throw contact set comprises two complementary contacts, both of which alternate between normally open and normally closed on each successive cycle. In this manner one each successive cycle, the pumps designated as the lead pump and the lag pump automatically alternate in a round-robin fashion. Further, when the lead pump is disabled the lag pump is immediately actuated without disruption of service.

  • Patent number: 6186747
Abstract: An axial plunger slurry pump comprises a pump body, a sloping cam plate, a swashplate, cylinders, plungers and a pump head. Each of the plungers comprises a plunger body with a rubber piston positioned in its front end and being able to slide over it, and an oil receiving gap communicating with an oil passage disposed between two facing end surfaces of the plunger body and the rubber piston. There are check valves each of which is provided in an oil passage between a ball of each of two-ball links, which ball is coupled with the swashplate, and the swashplate. Each of the cylinder and the plunger body are fitted together by means of a half-and-half locating pad, a cylinder sleeve, a pressing cap, and a locking device. The pump may be used widely in drilling, electric power, mine, building, and metallurgy, etc., for conveying mud, mortar, ore pulp, coal pulp, concrete, etc.

  • Patent number: 6179582
Abstract: An oil pump attachment structure is provided for an engine. The oil pump attachment structure includes an oil pump 9 coaxially driven by the crankshaft 2. A pump housing 10 of the pump 9 is disposed between a front cover 7 for covering timing chains 5a, 5b and crank sprockets 3a, 3b while leaving a clearance against the front cover 7. The pump housing 10 is also fastened to a cylinder block 1 so as to straddle the timing chains 5a, 5b, through stays 11a, 11b, 11c by bolts 12. With this arrangement, pulsation produced during the operation of the oil pump 9 is not transmitted to the front cover 7 directly, so that noise radiated from a front face of the front cover 7 can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 6176685
Abstract: In a scroll compressor provided with a fixed scroll member (4) and a movable scroll member (3) which define a plurality of compression spaces (6) therebetween in cooperation with each other, a hole (32) is formed to the fixed scroll member to be communicable with adjacent ones of the compression spaces. The adjacent compression spaces are different from each other in pressure when the scroll compressor is driven. A piston valve (33) is disposed in the hole and controls communication between the adjacent compression space through the hole. The compression spaces are movable with volumes reduced by movement of the movable scroll member.

  • Patent number: 6171066
Abstract: When a steplike reference signal is supplied while a switch is open, an offset signal for compensating for the dead time of a pneumatic device is generated by an offset generator and supplied as a manipulated variable for the pneumatic device. When a feedback increases in level and a speed higher than a reference speed is detected by a speed detector, the switch is closed by a switching signal, switching from a PD control mode to a PID control mode. The pneumatic device thus controlled has a reduced response time and can made a quick response.

  • Patent number: 6158969
Abstract: A variable displacement hydrostatic pump (11) having its displacement varied by a controller (17) in response to movement of a manual control lever (95) from a neutral position (FIG. 1). The vehicle has at least one other device (125,127) which provides an electrical output signal (133) indicating when operation of the pump (11) is "acceptable", in terms of either vehicle performance or operator safety. Associated with the control lever (95) is an input shaft (103) defining at least one stop surface (121,123). A solenoid assembly (109) has a moveable plunger (111), disposed adjacent the stop surfaces, and moveable between a retracted position (FIG. 4a) and an extended position (FIGS. 2 and 4), engaging one of the stop surfaces, when the output signal (133) indicates that operation of the pump is not acceptable.

  • Patent number: 6099273
Abstract: Pressurized fluid motor comprising a casing, a cylinder block, a cam, an internal fluid distributor and a selector. The bore of the selector has four grooves. Two of them are communication grooves each connected to a main (feed or exhaust) power duct and to a connection duct, the connection ducts being themselves connected to different groups of distribution ducts. The other two grooves of the bore are branch grooves respectively connected to an additional (feed or exhaust) power duct and to a third connection duct. The slide of the selector comprises at least a first selection groove which is adapted to establish communication between the two branch grooves. By modifying only the shape of the slide, and possibly that of the bore of the additional duct, the selector can provide different functions.
