  • Patent number: 9240163
Abstract: A video wall, having screens, cables, synchronization detection modules and a central control unit. The cables are operative to carry image data to be displayed on the screens. The synchronization detection modules are coupled between the screens and the cables for detection of a feature symbol. The central control unit collects detection results from the synchronization detection modules, and the detection results are utilized in the adjustment of the image data before cable transmission. In this manner, image display synchronization between the screens is achieved. The synchronization detection modules may be implemented as connectors, each having a first end connected to a screen and a second end connected to a cable.

  • Patent number: 9230364
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for rendering zebra stripes on a three dimensional (3D) object. In one aspect, a method includes rendering an image of an object from the perspective of a camera For each pixel of a plurality of pixels of the image, a point on the surface of the object corresponding to the pixel is determined. An angle between a surface normal at the point and a line between the point and the light source is determined. A zebra light color for the pixel is determined using a stripe function and the angle, the stripe function specifying alternating high and low intensities for various angles. A blended pixel color for the pixel is determined by blending a material color for the point with the zebra light color.

  • Patent number: 9123272
Abstract: An electronic device can utilize one or more sensors and/or imaging elements to determine the relative position of at least one light source relative to the device. In various embodiments, occlusions can be used to cause shadows to be cast on certain sensors. By determining the relative position of each occlusion relative to the sensor, the device can determine an approximate direction of the light source. Utilizing the relative position of a light source, the electronic device can properly light or shade a graphical object to be rendered by the device or otherwise process image information captured by the device.

Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for modifying electronic books (“eBooks”). A server processes eBook data to determine portions of one or more source fonts comprising various glyphs used in presenting the eBook. An embedded font is generated which includes those portions of the one or more fonts which are used in the particular eBook data. Because the unused portions of the one or more fonts are omitted, the overall size of the embedded fonts may be less than those of the source fonts. A custom character map may be generated as part of the embedded font which provides for increased document security.

  • Patent number: 9013471
Abstract: A method for three-dimensional visualization of a moving structure by a rotation angiography method is described. A series of projection images is recorded by an image acquisition unit from different recording angles during a rotation cycle. A three-dimensional image data can be reconstructed from the projection images. A continuous rotation cycle is proposed to be performed with simultaneous recording of at least one ECG. A three-dimensional reconstructed reference image is generated through a first correction of the motion of the moving structure by affine transformations. A three-dimensional image data of the moving structure is reconstructed from the data acquired in the continuous rotation cycle when using the reconstructed reference image while performing an estimation and correction of the motion by elastic deformations.
