  • Patent number: 10914303
Abstract: An irrigation system broadly comprising a number of irrigation spans, an end gun, an end gun booster pump assembly having a booster pump and a booster pump motor, and a control system including a system controller and a variable frequency drive (VFD) for controlling the end gun pump motor. The system controller determines a desired end gun throw magnitude according to sensor inputs, irrigation system location information, user inputs, and/or other data and sends to the VFD a signal representative of an instruction to increase or decrease an electrical motor input for the booster pump motor. The VFD effects a booster pump motor speed via the electrical motor input so that the booster pump steps up water pressure to the end gun according to the desired end gun throw magnitude.

Abstract: A method of providing a deluge system (10) on a boom (12) such as a boom that is used to conduct well flaring operations at an end thereof. The deluge system comprises a base unit (30), a stanchion (20), and a nozzle apparatus (22); the method comprising attaching the deluge system to a burner boom with a walkway, such that there remains a width of at least 30 cm clear passage on the boom's walkway after the deluge system has been attached. This provides an escape and/or rescue route for personnel should a dangerous situation occur, such as uncontrolled fire or personnel falling overboard. In preferred embodiments, the deluge system is attached to the boom outboard of handrail supports (which includes on a single handrail). The deluge system may have its own mechanism e.g. a winch, for moving the stanchion from a stowed position to an operative position which allows a safe and more optimum positioning of the stanchion away from the well flaring operation, as herein described.

  • Patent number: 10842090
Abstract: A drip emitter is provided for delivering irrigation water from a supply tube to an emitter outlet at a reduced and relatively constant flow rate. Water enters the emitter through a first inlet and proceeds into a first chamber. When the water pressure is above a predetermined level, a one-directional valve opens to allow fluid flow past the first chamber, through a tortuous path flow channel, and through an emitter outlet. A second inlet is used to compensate for water pressure fluctuations in the supply tube to maintain output flow at a relatively constant rate. Water enters the second inlet and presses a flexible diaphragm toward a water metering surface to provide pressure-dependent control of the output flow. A copper member is mounted to the emitter over the emitter outlet to prevent plant root intrusion into the emitter outlet.

  • Patent number: 10814837
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to suppress variations in shape of flow channels to have an enlarged flow channel. When an attachment main body 51 of a lid member 50 is attached to a recessed attachment part 46 of a main body member 40, a pair of flange parts 52 provided to the lid member 50 abuts on the main body member 40. Therefore, the insertion amount of the attachment main body 51 into the recessed attachment part 46 in each product can be maintained approximately constant while enlarging a main channel MC and a pair of sub channels SS1 and SS2, which are formed by the main body member 40 and the lid member 50, and variations in shape of these flow channels can be reliably suppress.
