  • Patent number: 5775748
Abstract: A latch device in which joggling of a latch main body is prevented and smooth movement of the latch main body is realized. When the latch main body is pushed-in from a first position of an insertion direction of the latch main body, holding of the first position is cancelled. Due to a spring, a stopper moves in a guide hole and abuts an end of the guide hole and the latch main body reaches a second position at a side opposite an insertion side. If the latch main body is pushed-in from the second position, the latch main body returns to the first position. When the latch main body is pushed-in to the first position and moves, an abutting portion extending from the stopper to a latch main body insertion side slides along an inner surface of a case wall, in a direction in which the stopper fits into the guide hole, along a side edge of the guide hole at a region at which the abutting portion misses the guide hole.

  • Patent number: 5685581
Abstract: An actuating assembly for a motor-vehicle door latch has a handle extending longitudinally on an outside of the panel and having one end coupled to the latch and another end projecting through the panel and provided with a fork having a longitudinally open seat. A backing plate on an inside of the panel is provided with a transversely extending pivot bar engaged in the seat of the fork. The handle is pivotal about an axis of the bar between a rest position relatively close to the door and an outer actuated position pulled out from the door. Interengaging formations on the bar and in the seat block longitudinal displacement of the handle relative to the backing plate except in the rest position of the handle so that when the handle is moved to or beyond the outer actuated position the formations prevent removal of the handle from the door.

  • Patent number: 5681067
Abstract: Plunger arrangements are used for retaining glass/screen inserts in frames. A plurality of caps are disposed around the insert and are disposed in one position for extending a spring biased plunger to engage the frame. The caps are disposed in an other position against the spring bias to retract the plunger from the frame. The arrangement is such that the cap remains in the other position without being held thereat by a user, whereby the user's hands are free to manipulate the insert in or out of the frame.

  • Patent number: 5676001
Abstract: An anti-theft device includes a casing engaged onto a steering wheel of a vehicle for preventing the steering wheel from being rotated and for protecting the air bag from being stolen. The casing includes a groove and one or more apertures distal to the flange. A stick includes a head formed in one end. A core is engaged in the head and has a latch for engaging with the aperture so as to lock the stick to the casing. An elbow is secured to the head and may engage with the steering wheel when the latch of the core is engaged with the aperture so as to lock the casing and the stick to the steering wheel.

  • Patent number: 4967494
Abstract: A sock which comprises an outer shell made up of an arrangement of non-stretchable fabric combined with a panel or panels of stretch fabric and an inner shell of insulating material. The fabrics are lined with a waterproof, breathable liner, such as Gortex or the like. The inner shell is connected with the outer shell only at the open upper end of each. A "stretch" or elastomeric cuff is connected to the open and serves to hold the sock up on the ankle and to prevent loss of heat or entry of water should the leg be immersed above the ankle.
