Abstract: A gate assembly can include a housing, a main body, at least one member, and an activation rib. The housing can define at least a portion of a card path of a payment interface. The main body can be coupled to the housing and can be movable between a closed position and an open position. The at least one member can extend from the main body such that, when the main body is in the closed position, the at least one member extends into the card path and can be oriented to inhibit an item from traveling through the card path. The activation rib can extend from the main body and can be located such that, when the main body is in the closed position, the activation rib extends into the card path. Related apparatus, systems, techniques, and articles are also described.
Abstract: A radio frequency identification (RFID) tag reading system and method accurately and rapidly determine, in real-time, true bearings of RFID tags associated with items in a controlled area. Primary transmit and receive beams are steered over the area, and multiple secondary receive beams are substantially simultaneously steered to a plurality of bearings in the area. The highest signal strength of secondary receive signals from the secondary receive beams determines an approximate tag bearing of each tag. Two secondary receive beams at opposite sides of the approximate tag bearing in elevation are selected to obtain a pair of elevation offset signals, and two secondary receive beams at opposite sides of the approximate tag bearing in azimuth are selected to obtain a pair of azimuth offset signals. The elevation offset signals and the azimuth offset signals are processed to determine a true bearing for each tag in real-time.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, a requesting application executing on a mobile device may request a transport layer security key pair in connection with a payment transaction. Responsive to the request, a trusted execution environment client of the mobile device may route a request to a payment application executing in a secure trusted execution environment of the mobile device. It may then be arranged, within the secure trusted execution environment, to create the transport layer security key pair and provide key pair to the requesting application. Moreover, in some embodiments, the mobile device may transmit payment transaction information to an access control server and receive a request for biometric authentication. It may then be arranged for hardware within the mobile device to biometrically authenticate a user of the mobile device.

Abstract: An RFID tag to is attached to a metal member including a slit, the RFID tag including conductive members attached to a surface of the metal member at corresponding sides of the slit in a width direction of the slit through an isolator; and an IC chip that receives power through the conductive members. Each of the conductive members has a shape to avoid overlapping with storing portions, each of the storing portions being configured to store one of tablets.
Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems described herein electronically detect a user-generated symbol that is drawn alongside and/or on pre-existing content shown on an output device. As determination is made as to whether the user-generated symbol is previously associated by a device with a defined operation that is to be performed by the device with the pre-existing content responsive to detecting the user-generated symbol. Responsive to determining that the user-generated symbol is not previously associated with the defined operation, a previously non-associated operation that is to be performed by the device with the pre-existing content is determined and implemented on the pre-existing content with the device to generate output provided to a user of the device.
