Abstract: One example of a video monitoring system includes a frame acquisition subsystem, a stage gate motion detection subsystem, a person detection subsystem, a face recognition subsystem, and an alert emission subsystem. The frame acquisition subsystem extracts frames from an input video. The stage gate motion detection subsystem separates background motion from foreground motion within frames. The person detection subsystem detects people including faces and bodies within the foreground motion. The face recognition subsystem matches detected faces to previously registered users. The alert emission subsystem provides alerts based on events detected by the stage gate motion subsystem, the person detection subsystem, and the face recognition subsystem.

Abstract: A method for three-dimensional reconstruction of a scene includes: controlling a projection source to emit invisible light toward the scene; while the projection source is emitting light: controlling a first multi-channel image sensor to capture a first image, the first multi-channel image sensor including visible light detecting pixels and invisible light detecting pixels, the first image including a first invisible light channel and a first visible light channel; controlling a second multi-channel image sensor to capture a second image substantially simultaneously as the capture of the first image, the second multi-channel image sensor including visible light detecting pixels and invisible light detecting pixels, the second image including a second invisible light channel and a second visible light channel; performing stereo analysis of the first image and the second image in accordance with the invisible light channels and the visible light channels to generate a depth map.

Abstract: A content management apparatus, which includes a recording unit for recording a content, and an operation unit for accepting a user operation required to append additional information to the content, executes at least one of a first process for recording additional information in association with a latest content of already recorded contents and a second process for recording additional information in association with a content to be recorded, and a third process for recording additional information in association with a currently recording content in response to respective execution instructions. Enabling and disabling user operations required to issue execution instructions of the first to the third processes are switched based on whether or not a content recording operation of the recording unit is in progress.
