Abstract: Systems and methods are described that facilitate sorting used printed sheets of paper or other media, identifying reusable pages (i.e., pages without print on one or both sides), and outputting the reusable pages for reuse. If print is detected on one side of a used page, a security or interference pattern, or a blackout pattern, is printed over the detected print (e.g., text or the like) to conceal or obscure the print to render it illegible. In this manner, potentially sensitive or confidential information is concealed, and the reusable pages are output for use in a user-selected application (e.g., label printing, etc.) while ensuring that confidential information is obscured.

Abstract: A modified WCS (Windows Color System) pipeline is provided, which calculates the color transform off-line. More specifically, the color transform is calculated once after any profile is changed, and the calculated color transform data is stored for later use. During the printing process (i.e. when the user prints a document), the stored color transform data is retrieved and used by the pipeline to perform subsequent steps such as content color translation, without re-performing the color transform calculation.

The printing system comprises a printing apparatus that executes a print job, a print control apparatus that controls the printing apparatus, a print authority management server that manages an print authority of the printing apparatus, and a data base server that holds a print function limitation information. The print control apparatus transmits two or more pieces of information required to limit a print function of the printing apparatus to request production of a print authority token of limiting the print function. Abstract: This invention includes a file management unit having a moving image directory and a still image directory, a print file producing unit which produces a still image file under the still image directory as a print list, and a still image extraction unit which extracts a still image of a designated scene from a moving image file under the moving image directory. When a print list of designated scenes of the moving image is to be produced, the still image extracted by the still image extraction unit is recorded under the still image directory, and the still image is registered in a print list by the print file producing unit.
