  • Patent number: 10073053
Abstract: A gas concentration measuring apparatus is provided which works to calculate the concentration of a given gas component with enhanced accuracy. The gas concentration measuring apparatus 1 includes, a gas sensor 10 and a calculating portion 11. The gas sensor 10 is equipped with a pump cell 3, a monitor cell 4, and a sensor cell 5. The calculating portion 11 subtracts a monitor cell current Im that is a current flowing through the monitor cell 4 from a sensor cell current Is that is a current flowing through the sensor cell 5 to calculate the concentration of the given gas component in gas g. When calculating the concentration of the given gas component, the calculating portion 11 performs a correction operation to bring a value of the monitor cell current Im close to a value of an oxygen dependent current Iso that is a component of the sensor cell current Is which arises from the concentration of oxygen.

  • Patent number: 10050584
Abstract: A solar panel cooling system and apparatus. The cooling system includes a shroud that is coupleable to a back side of a solar panel. The shroud encloses a space on the back side of the solar panel and includes a nozzle for spraying cooling fluid onto the back side of the solar panel. The cooling fluid spray is contained within the space and is recirculated through a closed loop system to cool the cooling fluid before again being sprayed by the nozzle. Thermal energy absorbed by the solar panel is transferred to the cooling fluid to cool the solar panel. A backing element can be applied to the solar panel that aids transfer of thermal energy to the cooling fluid, directs the drainage flow of the cooling fluid, or comprises a thermo-electric generator to generate additional electrical energy from the system.

  • Patent number: 10001455
Abstract: An amperometric gas sensor for measuring the concentration of an analyte includes: a solid configured as an insulator without being contacted by the analyte and configured for diffusion of the analyte therethrough, the solid including a non-conductive polymer, the solid further configured to increase in electrical conductivity when in contact with the analyte; a working electrode positioned on and in contact with the solid; and a reference electrode positioned on and in contact with the solid, the reference electrode spaced apart and insulated from the working electrode without the solid being contacted by the analyte, the working electrode and the reference electrode configured to measure electrical conductivity of the solid when the solid is in contact with the analyte.
