  • Patent number: 10832225
Abstract: A method and system may automatically detect failures and send diagnostic information when scheduling home equipment repairs in a smart home environment. A smart home controller may receive sensor data from each of several pieces of smart home equipment to detect whether any failures have occurred. If the smart home controller detects a failure in one of the pieces of smart home equipment based on the sensor data, the smart home controller may communicate diagnostic information for the piece of smart home equipment experiencing the failure to a repair service provider to schedule a repair. The diagnostic information may include sensor data for the piece of smart home equipment, and data indicative of normal operation for the piece of smart home equipment. The smart home controller may transmit a notification to the repair service provider including step-by-step instructions for performing the repair of the piece of smart home equipment.

  • Patent number: 10825029
Abstract: The present invention relates to a web-based software application, in which a server at a publisher compiles a predetermined list of items, such as regulatory, contract, budgeting, and legal issues, and stores them for periodic download to a client. The client would subscribe to the publisher, to receive information on a predetermined set of items. Periodically the server will scan its database and according to the client subscription, will retrieve and forward the predetermined items desired, to the client. The forwarded items will be compiled by the client and presented to the user in an easily viewable and searchable format. The user may choose a particular item to review, and then, if the user determines the item to be a relevant one, the user may transfer the item information to a monitoring software application for future monitoring and/or internal implementation as an issue.

  • Patent number: 10699236
Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to performance appraisal management, and more particularly to standardization of goals associated with performance appraisal. In one embodiment, a method for standardization of goals includes identifying labeled and unlabeled goals associated with a role. The goals includes template and manually created goals. Each of the template goals is associated with a class label, and includes corresponding goal description and self-comments. First and second classifiers are trained using goal description and self-comments. Candidate negative goals are identified and excluded from the goals to obtain a set of unlabeled goals. The set of unlabeled goals are classified by the first and second classifier, and a confidence score associated with the classification is determined. The unlabeled goals with high confidence score are added to labeled goals to obtain an updated set of labeled goals. The first and second classifiers are iteratively co-trained using the updated set of labeled goals.

  • Patent number: 10424036
Abstract: A system and method for operating a device for use with transport services is described. A record for a transport service is stored in a memory resource of the device. During performance of the transport service, the record is periodically updated with sets of information determined in connection with performance of the transport service at different instances in time, and the sets of information are periodically transmitted to a service system. In response to detecting a loss of network connectivity with the service system during performance of the transport service, the record is continued to be periodically updated but the sets of information are not periodically transmitted to the transport service system. Upon reestablishing network connectivity, one or more sets of information determined in connection with performance of the transport service during the loss of network connectivity is transmitted to the service system.
