  • Patent number: 9376838
Abstract: In a cylinder lock having a pivot member pivoted in response to pivoting by a legitimate mechanical key inserted into a key hole, a first rotor is linked to an outer cylinder relatively non-pivotably but movably along an insertion direction of a mechanical key, and a second rotor abuts against the first rotor from a side opposite to a rotor-receiving part provided on a housing and the outer cylinder and is linked to a pivot member relatively non-pivotably but movably along the insertion direction, and during pivoting of the outer cylinder in response to an unauthorized pivoting operation of an inner cylinder, the first rotor and the second rotor move so as to detach from the rotor-receiving part due to a cam mechanism provided between the first rotor and the housing, thereby releasing engagement of the inner cylinder with the second rotor linked to the pivot member relatively non-pivotably.

  • Patent number: 9376837
Abstract: A system includes a multisided key with three or more sides, where all the sides of the multisided key are identical. Further, the system includes a cylindrical lock with inner and outer cylinders and a locking vane residing radially outward in a void spanning the inner and outer cylinders. The locking vane includes an inner portion including a first protrusion and a second protrusion corresponding to two levels of the multisided key and an outer portion separated from the inner portion by a gap, wherein at least a part of the outer portion is disposed in the outer void. When the multisided key is inserted into the lock, the gap of the locking vane aligns with an interface between the inner and outer cylinders, allowing the inner cylinder to rotate within the outer cylinder.

  • Patent number: 9376839
Abstract: An electronic lock cylinder, includes a mechanical rotation core, electronic rotation core, barrel-shaped housing with both ends opened for accommodating the rotation cores, and a retainer rod, the rotation cores fixed axially to each other via an electromagnet core, and the mechanical rotation core and the housing fixed to each other via the retainer rod. When the core is retracted, the rotation cores can rotate through a certain angle with respect to each other, and the retainer rod is moved such that the rotation cores are fixed to each other and rotate together, now rotating the electronic rotation core by using an electronic key, and a deflector rod of the mechanical rotation core is driven to rotate such that the lock is unlocked. Further disclosed are an electronic lock system including the electronic lock cylinder and a method for unlocking a lock. Axial fixation between the rotation cores is achieved.

  • Patent number: 9371671
Abstract: A lockset has an actuator unit, a mounting unit and a latch retractor mechanism. The mounting unit attaches the lockset to a door and supports the actuator unit and latch retractor mechanism. The actuator unit includes inside and outside door knobs and a cam mechanism that move together within the mounting unit. During rotational movement, a first cam of the cam mechanism engages the latch retractor mechanism to retract the latch. The actuator is axially movable along an axis of the actuator unit when one of the knobs is pushed or pulled. During axial movement, a second cam of the cam mechanism engages the latch retractor mechanism to retract the latch. A locking mechanism is selectively actuable to act between the actuator unit and the mounting unit to prevent both rotational and axial movement of the actuator unit relative to the mounting unit, thereby locking the lockset.

  • Patent number: 9353548
Abstract: A rekeyable cylinder (1) comprising a stator (2) provided with a substantially cylindrical receptacle (3) for a rotor (4). The rotor (4) and the stator (2) are affected by channels (5) for at least one respective pin, movable so that it can slide in them in contrast to respective elastic means. The simultaneous arrangement of the pins partly in the rotor (4) and partly in the stator (2) determines the locking of the rotor (4), and the alignment of a terminal edge of the pins with the interface surface between stator (2) and rotor (4), obtained through the insertion of an adapted key (7) with a contoured profile into an opening (6) of the rotor (4) that faces the channels (5), determines the free rotation of the rotor (4) with respect to the stator (2).

  • Patent number: 9353552
Abstract: The anti-theft device for merchandise displays. An electronic sensor fixedly attaches to a merchandise item. A sensor receptacle adapted to receive the electronic sensor is integrated into a base of the device. The sensor receptacle contains apertures and the sensor contains slots that align when the sensor is placed within the receptacle. A clip is in a sliding engagement with the base. The clip slides between a locked and an unlocked positions. The clip includes one or more outwardly extending fingers that protrude through the slots of the sensor receptacle and engage the slots of the sensor when the clip is in the locked position. A locking member engages the clip preventing the clip from retracting into the unlocked position. A magnet key is used for disengaging the locking member from the clip allowing the clip to slide into its unlocked position, thereby releasing the sensor from the sensor receptacle.
