  • Patent number: 11381612
Abstract: The present disclosure describes techniques that facilitate detecting a Voice over Long-Term Evolution (VoLTE) call request with a recipient call number that lacks a country code. The VoLTE call request may be initiated by a subscriber device while roaming in a VPLMN. Specifically, a Normalization and Alert Policy (NAP) system is described that is configured to analyze the VoLTE call request and determine an intended country code and adjust the recipient call number to include the country code. Further, the NAP system may analyze the adjusted recipient call number to determine whether initiating a VoLTE call in response to the VoLTE call request may trigger an alert condition. An alert condition may relate to determining that the VoLTE call request may initiate a cost-prohibitive VoLTE communication or that the VoLTE call request relates a fraudulent communication.

  • Patent number: 11375398
Abstract: In one embodiment, a client device having a plurality of radios obtains a list of basic service set identifiers (BSSIDs) for a plurality of wireless access points of a wireless network. The client device associates each of the plurality of radios of the client device with a different wireless access point of the wireless network, based on the obtained list of BSSIDs. The client device receives a copy of a data packet from a particular one of the associated wireless access points. Each of the associated wireless access points receives a replicated copy of the data packet to be transmitted towards the client device. The device causes the associated wireless access points to cease further transmission of their copies of the data packet by acknowledging receipt of the data packet to the particular wireless access point.

  • Patent number: 11310740
Abstract: Systems and method of embodiments herein operate to conserve battery power of user equipment (UE). Embodiments determine whether waking up a UE receiver would be beneficial and based on the determination, the UE either wakes up the receiver or returns to sleep. Embodiments determine whether to wake up the receiver by performing pre-wake up (PWU) operation which either wakes up the receiver in a low power mode or wakes up the UE's wake up receiver. It may be determined whether a wake up (WU) signal is received during a PWU stage. If a WU signal is received during the PWU stage the UE may perform a full wake up of the receiver. If a WU signal is not received the UE may return to idle mode. In embodiments, WU (Wake Up) DRX cycles are supplemented with a Full DRX (Discontinuous Reception) cycle.
