  • Patent number: 11881627
Abstract: A Reconfigurable, Flexible Multi-User (RFMU) electronically steered antenna (ESA) includes a top panel and a number of side panels that enable many contacts simultaneously with varying gain requirements from a single, in situ, installation. The top panel includes multiple subarrays and can communicate with flyover satellites, and the side panels can communicate with satellites flying past a side of the ESA. The top panel and the side panels can achieve a beam steering that covers a full or partial, variable gain, hemispheric field-of-view (FoV). The RFMU ESA terminal top and side panels are scalable using flexible modular building blocks. This enables increased contacts, increased gain or a combination thereof sized to meet desired performance.

  • Patent number: 11875602
Abstract: An example non-transitory machine-readable storage medium includes instructions to, when executed by the processor, capture an image of a face of a user viewing a display device, identify a light source in the image, and identify light from the display device reflecting off the face of the user. The example instructions are also executable to determine a signature of the light in the image by 1) positively weighting a light measurement from the light source in the image and 2) negatively weighting a light measurement emanating from the display device and reflecting off the face of the user. The example instructions are also executable to modify a display device setting based on the signature of the light in the image.

  • Patent number: 11870616
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for postamble for multi-level signal modulation are described. One or more channels of a bus may be driven with a multi-level signal having at least two (2) distinct signal levels. After driving the bus with the multi-level signal, at least one (1) of the channels may be terminated. In some examples, the channel may be terminated to a relatively high signal level. Before termination, the channel may be driven with a postamble having an intermediate signal level. Driving the channel to an intermediate signal level before terminating the channel (e.g., to a high signal level) may avoid maximum transitions of the signal. For example, transitions between a lowest potential signal level and the high signal level (e.g., the termination level) may be avoided.

  • Patent number: 11847784
Abstract: In an image processing apparatus, an image acquisition section acquires captured images from a stereo camera of a head-mounted display. An image correction section performs correction on a partial image-wise basis, a partial image being smaller than one frame, while referring to a displacement vector map representing displacement vectors of pixels required for the correction. A feature point extraction section extracts feature points from partial images, and supplies the feature points sequentially to a feature point comparison section. The feature point comparison section associates feature points in a plurality of images with one another. A space information acquisition section acquires information as to a real space on the basis of correspondence information as to the feature points.

  • Patent number: 11810345
Abstract: An autonomous mobile device (AMD) that interacts with a user operates more effectively with reliable information about that user's pose. Occlusion due to obstacles or sensor field-of-view limits may prevent a sensor from “seeing” a user's torso or lower body while the face may remain visible. Face orientation alone produces unreliable results because a user frequently moves their head. Sensor data is acquired over time and used to determine face and body poses, with each pose representing a location and orientation in physical space of that portion of the user. A transform is determined that represents the relative arrangement of a face pose and a body pose at a particular time. If available, the body pose may be used as the user's pose. If the body pose is unavailable or unreliable at a given time, it may be inferred by applying the previously determined transform to the current face pose.
