  • Patent number: 6233826
Abstract: A method for reinforcing a selected portion of a structural part utilizes a flexible tube having a unexpanded, preferably thermally expandable resin sheath. The sheath may be limited to a selected region along the length of the flexible tube. The flexible tube is inserted through a curved passage and conforms to the geometry of the part to be reinforced. After the portion of the tube having the sheath reaches the desired location, the tube is secured in place. Upon heating, the resin expands to several times its original volume and fills the structural cavity only at that region.

  • Patent number: 5997456
Abstract: Coated rollers (10) with a hard, high release, non-marking, coating with excellent non-stick properties are disclosed for use as idler rollers, or as laminating, coating or printing rollers. The release coating comprises an outermost coat (15) which includes a silicone-epoxy emulsion in a water-based curing system that is sprayed or brushed on a roller core and then allowed to cure at room temperature. The release coating further comprises a primer coat (16) of silicone-epoxy in a water base that is also sprayed or brushed on the roller to form a coat and then allowed to cure at room temperature. Methods for making such rollers are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5873164
Abstract: A fan wheel for high-temperature operation, especially in ovens, includes a star-like or ray-like base plate having a central middle region, protrusions protruding substantially radially beyond the central middle region and having an outer contour, axially drawn up blades disposed on the protrusions and a base plate surface with axially drawn up segments extending from the middle region into the vicinity of the protrusions. According to one embodiment, the segments include a central, annular segment and star-like or ray-like segments adjoining the central, annular segment and extending through the protrusions of the base plate substantially symmetrically with the outer contour. According to another embodiment, the segments include a central, annular segment and star-like or ray-like segments adjoining the central, annular segment, originating from the central, annular segment and following the outer contour of the base plate.

  • Patent number: 4961261
Abstract: A roll for a mill includes a roll shaft of a circular cross-section having an axis of rotation therethrough and having an outer peripheral surface. A ring of a wear-resistant material having an outer peripheral surface adapted to engage with a metal material to be rolled is disposed around the roll shaft. A tubular sleeve having an inner peripheral surface is disposed between the roll shaft and the ring with the inner peripheral surface mated with the outer peripheral surface of the roll shaft. A layer of adhesive is interposed between the ring and the sleeve for adhesively securing the ring and the sleeve together. The adhesive layer is compressed by the ring and the sleeve so as to be brought into frictional engagement therewith.
